  1. I drove my truck to work today, 53 miles on the clock since I put in the new gear oil, I noticed i have a little bit leaking out of my vent tube. Does this mean I put in too much fluid?
  2. Thanks, I just wanted to make sure. This is the first time I have ever changed the diff fluid myself.
  3. I just bought some Royal Purple 75w-140 for my rear dana 44. It say's it has the friction modifier already in it, so I shouldn't have to add any more right? :dunno:
  4. Wow! Thats a good price.
  5. I would love to try that at least once! :D
  6. Where is the best place to buy the TnT y-link? So far the best price I can find is $979. Anyone seen it cheaper? I'm selling my ARB bull bar and a set of Rubicon Moabs so I can get the Y-link if anyone is interested.
  7. I think it would make a nice DD! :D
  8. How do you get the head-rest off? I have been wanting to clean mine but couldn't get them off.
  9. Thanks. Rollbar is out of a first gen dodge dakota. Do you have any side view pictures with the roll bar installed?
  10. Your truck is looking great. Is that a factory roll bar?
  11. I have the rear axel swapped, can I run my truck in 2WD until I have time to get the front axel swapped in? Should I pull the front drive shaft off?
  12. Nope they still make it and sell it, but only in certain areas. My dad brought me a few cases when he moved from TN and now I'm almost out.
  13. Nope.
  14. Anyone willing to ship some cases of Mello Yello to me in TX?
  15. Boilermaker had some for sale awhile back, try sending him a PM. You'll also find them on ebay every once in awhile. Nice looking truck and welcome to the club. Where in North TX are you?
  16. I am getting ready to swap my MJ dana 44 and my 97 TJ dana 30 onto my 88 comanche. Both axles have 3:55 gearing. I currently have 3:07 gearing and 5th gear is useless with the 31's. Will I see any difference with the 3:55 gears?

  19. Well for less than $200 I am currently without an over heating issue! :D Switched to an open system with all 92 XJ stuff.
  20. If gas prices keep going up, I might have to get one of those as my daily driver! I wonder how long it would take me to ride 32 miles to work?
  21. There was a guy on TX4WD that got a kit for his TJ from www.jeepair. He did a small write up on it and had no complaints. I'll see if I can find it and post a link.
  22. Do you have a picture of the heater control valve and the hoses going to it?
  23. I just recently experience DW. Mine was so bad that I had to come almost to a complete stop when it happened. I couldn't do anything but fight the steering wheel, slam on the brakes, and start talking to the man upstairs! It was pretty darn scary in Houston's traffic. The problem I had was that all my steering linkage was worn out to the point where I could shake it and move everything around. My tires weren't balanced right, my steering stabalizer was shot, and my sway bar links had loosened up. I've had no DW issues since I have corrected all of these problems.
  24. I had a pressure test done on my coolant system today. They told me my radiator was leaking, allowing air into the system. So on my way home in 90+ degree weather with my heater on full blast, I stopped at an auto parts store and picked up a 92 radiator. I don't have extra money for a nice radiator so this will have to do for now. What else do I need to get? I know I need a heater control valve, from what I have read, but I can't find a real detailed write up for the conversion. I don't even know what the heater control valve looks like. Does anyone have any pictures that show exactly what I need to do with the hoses under the pressure bottle?
  25. Mine does. So if it's not supposed to mines @#$% too. Did you verify the temp yet? I didn't need to verify the temp. The coolant was boiling out of the bottle by the time I got home. I picked up a new fan clutch and so far everything seems to be working. I ran normal temps on the way to work. I am going to wait until the ride home in 80ยบ weather before I say it is fixed.
