ok ive heard about these kits ... can some one show me a pic or fill me in on what I'm missing here..... :huh???:

my resto is an 86 x mt 2.8 . 35 front, amc 20 rear, long bed.the last four of my vin is4169 ive heard rumor of a dana 44 front in our year ,but yet to see or find one

well there plate is 3/4 of an inch thats a 1/4 more than i need but i did think about shaving an 1/8 off the bell on each end . oh and that plate is on backorder till end of april

i have an 86 comanche x 4x4 with a HT 3.4 SHO(supercharged hi output) it cam with a puny 2.8 and an ax 5 well to sum it up 285 hp and 308 torq killed the anerexic tranny... i have a 90 ax15 from a cherokee . need a bellhousing external slave.,7 inches deep . already tried the 2.5 i4 dodge dakota bell its to deep .called up AA well all there stuff is for the 2.5 i4 also ...has any one done this or am i the first.. any help would be greatly admired :hateputers:

:cheers: well on my search for a wireing harness i found a better swap in motor. a 4bt cummings diesel . this little 4 banger is 160 hp and 410 foot pounds of tork wow.the mpgs are pretty good also 25-32 with 4.10 gears so I'm told. it seems to be very commom -. you tube has 2 dozen vids of this motor in yjs mjs dodges and other vehicals .I'm a big fan of the 5.9 cummings inline 6 and this is the 4 banger model the kits are avalible at,,, www.4btswap.com and advanced adapters has them also ..so here we go on the way to a torky little pickup i will post pics when i start this build thanks guys

i have a amc 20 in my 86 x and it is so far been tuff as nails it. has 4.10 yukon gears and mosser one peice axels . the neet thing is if you can find a wrecked for explorer 94-98 you can use the disk brakes on the 20 with a minor bit of fab ...a 3/16 c spacer between the seal and mounting flange of the mounting bracketfor the caliber will keep the axels in it. ive had this setup for a few years now and love it.towing a trailer (16) foot with 5 atvs is no problem to get moving or stop in a hurry :banana: .

ok ive tryed to sell my little comanche and couldnt get what i have in it. so I'm thinkn about putn a 95 chevy tbi 350 v8 with a nv 4500 5 speed manual trans. the truck already has a 2.8 amc(chevy)60degree v6 in it. 115 hp just don't make the grade the problem is ive been looking around trying to find someone that has done this mod . painless does not offer a wireing harness for this build . if anyone could give me some insite on this crossover would be much appreacated I'm sure it has been done and seems like it would be a great upgrade for an awsome truck thanks
