  1. sorry to dig up an old thread, but Google searching lead me here....I am looking to buy a visor if you're still selling them :) I can send you a message.
  2. HI everyone. I Just came across this site today googling some info, and I am elated I have found such a huge Comanche community! This is awesome! SO, I'm Bryan, based in Vancouver, WA. I own a 88 Comanche Eliminator...or at least that is how it started out it's life. It's kind of a mish-mosh, now. This is my second Comanche. The first one I owned was an 89 Pioneer longbed, and it had over 300k miles on it, and still running strong! That truck was unstoppable! I was sad to have to part with it. fast forward to Summer last year...I came across this 88 that had been pretty haggered out, and we were flipping cars, and this was dirt cheap...and being a Jeep guy and having owned several XJs, I figured I could make a quick buck. no sooner did I get it home (a story in itself!, wow) that I started looking it over, and a previous owner had dumped a LOT of money into this rig. so, I decided to keep it. Now, I have big plans for it! at first it was going to get a LS1 swap, but a friend with an XJ project turned me onto a brilliant idea....TDI swap! yes, VW Diesel! ooo, yeah! ......Project DieselChe was born!...... Anyways, so what I have today is a 88, with 96 Drivetrain. 96 4.0L HO, AX15, NP231, Dana 30 non-disconnect front (96), 35 Rear (stock) also goodies: 4.5in Fabtech lift with drop link brackets and rear shackles. stock springs Bilstein Piggyback resi shocks Rubicon Drag link Tremec Heavy duty clutch new radiator, and a host of other new parts Yukon Gear lockers front and rear stainless brake lines steering box brace Bushwacker flares Comp Cam (lift unknown) Flowmaster exhaust Definitely a lot of good things to build off of. So, I have a long road ahead, but a good platform. still needs a LOT of work, as the body has had a rough life of wheeling. MY plan....a nice clean capable rig that gets great mileage and will go anywhere I need it to go. I don't need it to be able to conquer Moab, but I want it to be capable enough to get in and out of tough spots, and turn heads while doing it! (it already does in it's current state) so anyways, Can't wait to start a build thread and share my fun adventures. Give a wave if you see me on the road or trails!
