  1. That's what I have on there now (29x9.25x15). Flies like a bat out of hell. They were brand new when I parked her but they're baked Alaska now. I mis-spoke when I said 33s. I want wide tires, not tall. I found some 31x13.5x15s. These were the widest for the size. I can't drive her to my nephews garage with the current set. He has all the equipment for the mods. Pete M - "I don't have any faith in either part". Me neither. I just thought I'd ask. I know I blew out the rear spider gear once. High speed dump of the clutch. I also just found some paperwork from 94 that lists a drive chain, springs, and syncro assembly. So I guess I had tranny work done also. Must of been one heck of a year... I don't remember! There's a reason for the "cart before the horse" approach. Trying to get my son more interested in the build. Right now he just sees a sun baked pickup that needs a boat load of work.
  2. I would like to get a consensus on tire size with a Peugeot 2BF18 / AKA BA10. Do you think I will be OK initially with 33 inch tires? I'm not going rock climbing anytime soon. Specs: - 4.0, 2BF18 (BA10) manual trans, NP231 - 2.72 ratio transfer case, Dana 30 front, ? 30 or 35 rear. Will be upgrading in the future but the cost of this project right now is overwhelming. Thanks, L.C.
  3. Just ordered 25. I broke 3. Let me know if anyone needs one. L.C.
  4. Thanks. Awesome! That's it. I was just about to swap out the current setup with a Bosch waterproof relay center(still might in the future).
  5. I have a Triumph R3 and I've been part of another online forum for years. https://www.r3owners.net/forums/ It's for when I need to go faster than my 87 can go.
  6. That for the relay cover. I'm looking for the clip that keeps the wires in the block.
  7. I saw that post
  8. I was cleaning up the relay connections and one of those old relay slide retention clips broke. Has anyone found a supply of those or is everyone just splicing in a replacement female that doesn't have them? Thanks, L.C.
  9. I have a few faded Polaroids somewhere. I'll have to go digging.
  10. I've never really had any issues except when the dealer #@^(#&*! up replacing the rear main seal while it was still on warranty. She seized a few miles after leaving the dealership, The replacement motor never quite had the same power or MPG. Besides that she never left me stranded. I beat the heck out of her with no issues. I even ran chase on the score circuit.
  11. ; ) That was before I went to collage and took nuclear physics. I always wondered why I had such a bad battery drain with a high output alternator.
  12. Thanks Pete and Jim! I also found some information that you can use the main AC bracket from a 91-01 XJ and then use a NAPA NOE 6601819 AC bypass pulley. Supposedly the AC bracket holes line up with the Renix motor. We shall see. Solid find on the door kit Jim. Already ordered it. I thought I was going have to do a JC Whitney hack job of it. Thanks again. Pushing forward. Next step...being in California....Getting her smogged. Anyone have info on my original questions? Like what Dorman air conditioning bypass pulley I need for my 87 4.0?

  14. Best gadget I ever had (kind of). 90 HP mini NOS booster. It was a "2 shot" nos cylinder, a relay, rocker switch, and a throttle body spray jet / solenoid unit. Unfortunately after awhile it weakened the fuel injector seals and we had an engine fire. Thus the painted 8 ball on the hood.
  15. You name it. I tried it. The hydrogen generator gave me 1 whole mpg more on the freeway. Made her run like crap in the city. It was a slow constant flow of hydrogen that didn't compensate for acceleration. At 1 mpg more it would have taken 100k miles to pay for itself. :( The jammer did work on X and K bands. Then they came out with jammer detectors! Double :(
  16. Can anyone give me a lead on window guides / wipes? Another issue is finding a replacement bracket to remove the AC compressor. I want to 86 it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I spent several hours removing various parts, gadgets, and extra wiring that was added on through the years. Wow! I forgot about some of this stuff. I had stuff few of the guys here have ever seen. How about a CB radio PA speaker? Hydrogen generator? Radar jammer? Sneaky Pete? I wish I could find all of the parts for the last Item. It was fun!
  17. Look out bro! They have some horrendous reviews on Yelp.
  18. Southern California. La Quinta is near Palm Springs.
  19. Here's the link. I was thinking it could be a project for my son and I. It's looking more like I need a local shop methinks! https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/skyjacker-6-inch-suspension-lift-kit-with-m95-performance-shocks-jc605rr2ks-m/_/R-BHNG-JC605RR2KS-M
  20. Anyone have any experience with the newer 6 inch Skyjacker lift kits? I wish I had the skills to install an Ironman or Iron Rock 4 link system but that's beyond me. I'm too old and I don't weld. Too far to have the shops do the work (Minn. & NC). I'm out here in California. Any good west coast suggestions?
  21. Found my answer in one of the posts. Thanks!
  22. Thanks! I was about to bang my head against a wall.
  23. Yeah back in the day it was impossible to talk your way out of a ticket. "It must have been another red Jeep with an 8 ball on the hood officer".
  24. Well as I take my first steps into restoring the old girl, I'm already getting pressure in the frontal lobe of my brain. I've already ordered the 4 port fuel injectors recommended on cruiser54 and started to look at the “Book”. I removed the fuel filter and ordered a new one. Dropped the tank and took out the fuel pump. Wow the stuff in there was nasty. The hanger grommet had turned into something that looked like the main character in The Blob movie. It has the consistency of slime and sticks to anything it touches. It almost seems alive! After reading a multitude of posts regarding the fuel pump and hanger, I'm still not sure which way is the best way to go. I ordered a pump from Autozone and there was no way on earth that it was going to work. I've ordered a Bosch 69302 pump now and I see that it might work with a little modification. I also found a Meat & Doria fuel pump that seems to be the same size that puts out 3 bars of pressure (43.5 psi). I'll reuse the hanger as long as I can find a new grommet to replace “The Blob”. There are also Delphi CHP10147 and CHP10148 complete pump and sending units. Some sites say they fit and some sites say they don't. I've read that it maybe backwards (filter and float) or the potentiometer may be backwards. That would be OK with me. “E” is for energy and “F” means your... finding a gas station. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. p.s. Should I start another thead for this question or just keep adding on the "project" post?
