OR JUST LIVE WITH IT... all of this sounds INVOLVED!!! I wonder if anyone have ever tried to wrap insullation around the outside of the tank? Or maybe change out the tank with a plastic tank?

I do see that RockAuto offers brand new tanks, both SWB and LWB models, so if I go this route, I will replace the tank, its straps, and replace the pump with a turbine style pump... along with a new sock.

Much straighter... I stopped in at a small gathering of classic cars, in Southpark this afternoon... and as soon as I was about to introduce myself, one of the guys sez, so you are Kantankrus? And that is when I said, yeah I am a cranky old man... they all laughed out loud... lmao!!!

Has anyone used this source for many needs? I have purchased new interior screws from them and am thinking about purchasing rubber seals, such as hard to get window channels. **(For example) The channel seal, that goes inside the divider bar! door weatherstripping | McMaster-Carr

Kantankrus is now 100% murdered out. I started stripping this truck August 12th. So, one month of weekends (some weekdays) and poof, the entire trucks outermost sheet metal has been stripped to shiny metal, then sprayed with 2k primer (direct to metal) and top coated with UV resistant paint! Not too shabby, for an old fart like me :)

87 MJ 4x4, AX15/NP231, 8" RE (w/JKS ACOS front) and spring over axle lift (w/custom helper spring on top of leaf pack, shortened XJ leaf spring), HPD30/Chry 8.25 w/4.56 Yukon/Aussie/Eaton LSD, 35x10.50R17 Kenda Klever/Rubicon Recon Wheels. JCR Offroad, F/R bumpers, Dirt-Bound Offroad (High clearance steering and battery tray). Yes, it's built! Now pecking at its paint. Stripping it down, not a speck of rot found on this 37 y.o. MJ. Yes, it resides in Allegheny County, PA.

This is the results of when you know that it flowed real nice and smooth. Sprayed with a Black Widow Spectrum HTE Gun.

Does anyone know what the diameter of the hard gas line the supplies gas to the motor (3/8ths or 5/16ths) I want to circumvent the gas line check valve with a new inline check valve.

Progress: The roof on my MJ was a P.I.T.A to strip, it took a lot longer than I expected. The paint must have been sun baked on it like powder-coat. Phew wee! The roof and back of cab is under paint! With me being 6'3" and me standing on a 5 gallon bucket, I still could not get an even pattern on the roof surface of my MJ, so today, I plan to scuff the very top of the roof and stand in the bed, to try to get a smoother surface on the tip top of the roof... sure, for the most part, I will not see it, but I will still know that it is like that and it will bother me to no-end, until I can get it less Zebra stripe-like. I guess by me lifting that truck to 8+ inches higher than stock, it has a negative effect in this regard! Additionally, I have now selected the colors that will form the 'Kantankrus Kamo' pattern, on my MJ. Each of these finishes, along with the Dead Rat Flat Black, do not require a clear coat. They also contain UV inhibitors. All are matte finishes. Please remember 'Shiny paint causes stress' At some point, I will add a dash of red into the mix... by replacing the emblems with two color decals, black letters with a red outline! I also included a photo of my surface refinishing tool.
