  1. My springs are in good shape. I thought I had read somewhere they were taller. I don’t want to swap them for no lift and a harsher ride ....
  2. There is not an add a leaf in the pack so, I'm assuming theses are the metric ton. If I do install these what kind of lift do they add? I'm looking to go up a couple more inches.
  3. That’s what I was wondering
  4. How do I know if these are? They came with an MJ Dana 44 that I acquired. Do they look right?
  5. And so will friends and family!
  6. I went 1/2's with a buddy on a bender and dies. I couldn't really justify the full price on my own in the beginning but, now wish I would have bought a nicer one because it has gotten quite a bit of use over the years. I have a pro tools hydraulic with 1.75" and 6" radius dies. You WILL get tired of pumping that Jack!
  7. Oh yeah. At first I was thinking that the O2 sensor didn't fix my lean condition and, it was still running rough. But those mounts transfer all the engine vibes to the frame. I was concerned about that when I bought them. It's really only noticable at a stop and in gear.
  8. Not quite that bad. (Yet)
  9. Well, got my O2 sensors in and took it for a 20 mile jaunt with no issues. I gotta say Brown Dog poly motor mounts are definitely noticable......
  10. Hmm. My TJ cluster is a ‘98 and my XJ dash is ‘99.
  11. Got the interior trim painted and, have everything installed except the headliner which I haven’t re-covered yet. I love the way it turned out. I took it out for a drive and got P0171 code so, I ordered new O2 sensors. Hopefully that’s all it is.
  12. I have a TJ cluster I thought about using but, the plugs in the back don't match the XJ dash. How did you get around that?
  13. I already have a 3” driveshaft and clears ok. I’d be happier with more but whatcha gonna do? 🤷‍♂️ I know that leaving the fill in the stock location is what everyone seems to be doing but hey, I gotta be different 😏
  14. Saw daylight for the first time since September ‘18. I may take it for a short drive today
  15. I reused the MJ filler neck and, hoses.
  16. I found a guy in Boise who would modify my tank for me so, I put the tank in position and traced the top of the frame rail onto the side of tha tank. Had him move the fuel filler to the side even with the fuel door above the frame rail mark and patch the end of the tank.
  17. I put the tank in position and figured out where I needed to mount the tank strap brackets. Drill a 3/8” hole in one leg of the 2 x 2 brackets and weld them in place ( or you can bolt them if you don’t have a welder) with the leg with hole facing toward the center of the bed.
  18. Pete asked me to make a thread on the fuel tank setup I used on my ‘99 swap so here goes. Parts needed are: 2 pieces of 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 .120 wall rect. Tube 24” long 2 pieces of 2 x 2 .1875 angle 1 1/2” long 8 pieces of 1/4 x 1/2 carriage bolts and, psi lock nuts 2 pieces of 3/8 x 6 stainless eyebolts, washers and, Nylock nuts stock MJ tank straps TJ fuel tank XJ fuel pump I positioned the fuel tank in the MJ location and set the front at 1 1/2” back from the rear of the cab. Marked where the rails go relative to the tank. Put the rails in the location marked with the 1 1/2” width against the floor. Marked 4 locations on each rail that match the lower ribs in the bed. Drilled 1/4” holes in the rails all the way thru and then opened one side of each rail holes up to 3/4”. I held them up to the bottom of the bed and marked the bed to be drilled with 1/4” drill also. Mounted the rails to the bottom of the bed with the 8 carriage bolts and spin lock nuts. Then I marked the frame below the new rails for the rectangular holes that have to be cut to hold the MJ tank straps.
  19. That’s the coating burning off the new header
  20. Charcoal canister is in, fuel filler and hoses on, 4 gallons of gas in it and..... F3E273A7-9CE9-41F1-BD00-8E2AD1EBCB42.MOV
  21. got the tank in, fuel pump harness extended, fuel line bent up and in. I didn’t like the fact that there isn’t a fuel filter inline on the late model so, I am using the old renix inline filter also. I am really happy that the tank mod turned out exactly like I wanted. will hopefully get the charcoal canister in this weekend but, I’m taking today off for some rock crawling.
  22. Finally got my tank back from getting modded. Hopefully I’ll have it in and running this weekend.
  23. We’ll see if my tank mod works but, I suppose I can. I hate being tasked ..... 😜
