do you have the old steel tank... or a new one.. .i took the old steel tank out of the truck to put a new one when I did the restoration to a 2000 model and have the old tank and pump/sending unit in it... the problem that it had when I took it out was that it marked gas whenever you had half tank to full, but less than half would not mark... I'm at 78521 for shipping if you need it let me know. I would have to take it out from tank. if it does work for you I can send the complete assembly to you for 50 + shipping.

hi, I have been a member of comanche club for a while, got my comanche converted and restored into a "2000 model" from the ideas of some of the guys out here. However I am having trouble with finding good A-pillar trim for both sides, I used the ones I had on the comanche but they became so rough broken etc that I want some new ones, and the ones I had form the cherokee were broken too... by any chance would any of you have a good pair of spare A-pillar trim that would like to sell... thanks in advance...

HEy backdraft thats a nice job!... good for you and your truck... A question for you... what did you have to do the get the truck inspected and ready to get the license plates? did they complain about the dashboard or VIN or something? I would appreciate any comment or suggestion since I'm trying to get mine with some new license plates and everything thanks in advance

I have a question for you guys... does the fuel pump/sender unit has to be compressed into the tank in order for it to work?... by compressed I mean that when you put it into the tank it stays like 3 inches out and have to compress it so that you can put the ring... this is because I'm using a dakota tank and it seems that it is a little bit taller than expected and kinda looks like it doesnt compress the pump unit. thanks in advance

KIneticMJ... I have a question for you... how is the fuel pump working? does the sender sends the correct fuel capacity? does it works fine? trying to find out whats the best thing to do on my mj... new tank or rebuild the old tank with the ring as you did... thanks in advance

whats the width of the tj tank? the xj is 20 inches... and by my measurements its 1 inch wider than I need it to be... the lenght is ok it will fit but its wider than I expected... and having a hard time on connecting the wire harness to the old fuel pump/sender...

so Shelbyluvv... in doing something similar to you on a comanche... inspired by you and couple of other guys doing mods to comanches... I'm doing a 91 to 2000 conversion and I'm changing the fuel tank too... trying to follow your writeup... did you use the tank form the XJ ?... mine seems to be all rectangular (its a 2000 cherokee xj tank) and have doubts of it being able to fit, havent measure, I'm in the process of doing it but havent started cuz of the doubts of it fitting. thanks in advance
