  1. MJ Long bed Frame Repair

    ย

I took (all your) advice and had the rust damaged metal cut out of my MJ frame and replaced with new material.

The exemplary repair work was done by Danโ€™s Frame Shop, Mechanicsburg, PA (717) 697-4122 ask for Skip or Tyler. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

  2. OK . . . Just found out my '86 MJ has some major rust issues with the inside unibody/frame area around the fuel filter. How do we go about repairing this issue? Cheers, SGTSnacks

  4. Where can this unobtainale be found or do I need to have one created?
  5. Do Jeep Comanche and Cherokee's have the same rear 10" x 1 3/4" brake drums?

  6. Club, I'm stuck with how to get my AX-5 Comanche 4x4 5 speed transmission working? I've spent the last 6 months trying to have it re-built with very little success. All the rebuild parts I purchased from eBay seem to be correct, but it still won't shift into or out of 1st or second gear? When the transmission is manipulated on the bench, all seems fine, but when it is re-installed into the truck, it ain't happenin' What if anything can I do to trouble shoot this issue? The main input shaft was replaced, along with the gear cluster, in addition to the main bearings and syncro's. Something seriously goofed up! HELP . . . Cheers, SGTSnacks
  7. What fuse controls my 1987 MJ license plate lights? No juice to the bulbs? Everything else (electrical) seems fine. Where I'm from, anything electrical amok after dark is a law enforcement magnet. Cheers, SGTSnacks
  8. I just had the stock 2.5l motor replaced in my 1986 MJ longbed with a 1988 MJ 2.5l. Big trouble. No 4x4 anymore. No dash light saying 4x4. Only 2x2? What do you recommend checking first, assuming the 4x4 shift lever is still connected/attached? Is the front wheel transfer case activated by vacuum or electrically? Cheers, SGTSnacks
