  1. these were in with the old engine...the ahole mechanic put them back on like this!!! i do have a larger amp alternator in there, and a deep cell "6 pak" battery, but it is needed for the plow, i put in an old regular one come springtime
  2. Not right off, but I'll try to remember to grab a tape and get some measurements for you. cool thanks....hey if i get my old job back, steel fabrication shop, ill be able to help alot of dudes in here out with steel....theres all you can eat of steel there!
  3. guess i should of done this first, huh? :shake:
  4. :typing: i got under my truck on thursday at about noon to start just "checking things out" ended up working until 11pm here's what i found and replaced or repaired first....as i was under the truck, i noticed a bare wire, after further investigation, i noticed that it was the POSITIVE battery cable......so i checked the ground also and sure enough it was almost bare too. nuts right? theres a pic 4 ya i called the guy who just did the swap for me and confronted him with this' his response was....well in my defense.....you told me to do it as cheap as possible...WTF i was like..you put them back on like that!!! and if it was cheap....why was it an extra 400 bucks to change the rear main and valve cover gaskets? :headpop: thats y my resolution 4 the new year is never go to a garage again!! so i changed the cables, 8 bucks each...then started on everything else... upper and lower control arms track bar end links stabalizer shocks adjusted the rear brakes ripped the front calipers apart and lubed them a little cuz they were sticking prob some other crap i forgot too then i started to get into the wiring cuz the same fing garage that did the swap did the plow wiring so its fubar noticed headlight switch plug was burnt to a crisp, cut the wires off the clip, installed connectors and cleaned up the plug..well it all works ok for now (the electrical), but I'm not too crazy about the plow switch placement, so I'm mounting them on the dash anyways, here's the pics nuts right?
  5. do you have the exact dimensions to your front bumper? :brows:
  6. where does the oil go? Does it go to the breather? or do you have a reserve for the blowbac oil? do you have to clean that breather? i want to design a reserve to collect the oil of some sort. don't you need the vacume to the airbox from that fabbed hose? what about instead of a plug in the airbox, a re-routing back to valve cover?
  7. nice......me likey....going to try this
  8. thanks all pro as usual anything on the custom reserve?
  9. sorry again  and thanks
  10. i need some suggestions on how to prevent the blowby of the oil contaminating my air filter. any good suggestions on how to bypass it? i seem to remember a thread about it but i can't find it. one of my sheeney friends said something about a "catch" made out of a bottle or something? i don't know....thats y I'm asking!!!! thanks in advance again
  11. i don't like the ones that are 4 or 5" channel welded together THEY look too bulky
  12. Thanks, for the pics, that is pretty much along the lines of what I have in mind, but with a winch mount on the front bumper as well. Too big and bulky? I currently have two mangled stock bumpers. Front is bent near each end, rear is just a crumpled pile of metal and rust being held together by the trailer hitch underneath. no the pic above yours....i dig the ones you have......I'm gonna use them as a basis for mine
  13. MAN!!!!! ALL YOU PS3 DUDES :fs1: I NEED XBOX GAMERTAGS!!!! :chillin:
  14. ill bet you thats it. there is a cherokee column in my truck. po replaced it. prob put it on wrong thanks!-
  15. one would think thats the general idea ......but after the first 10 driveways you plow and walkways you shovel :wall: ...and thinking about the 26 more to go  it kinda slipps my mind.. :huh???: ....i do try to as much as possible though....
  16. scared of getting dominated. gotta call some folks out  thats funny....I'm pretty good tactical and run n gun
  17. my water comes mostly from getting in my truck with snow on my shoes. youd be surprised how much gathers. i put a floormat there made to prevent water on ur carpet and it gathers like a gallon or so.....really expecially when I'm plowing....getting in and out every 20 mins or so :wall: i hate it there is where my water comes from so if anyone knows how to prevent this....or give me like a couple hundred grand so i can retire, theres ALWAYS gonna be water in my truck helloooooooo vinyl floor...in summer
  18. so it won't hurt me to leave that switch on? i don't do that much highway driving
  19. i wish i had a ps3 so i could actually play wit cc members everyone on 360 won't play 4 some reason
  20. i wish i had the option and possibilities you have....tons of steel a welder/torch and a manche i think that the bumpers you have now are too big and bulky looking imo you can make something noone else has just look at ALL the pics in this forum and get your idea from there. the dude above me gave you the dimentions for his!! can't get better info than that! good lick and keep me posted cuz I'm going through the same thing....well i will be in the spring!
  21. if it wasnt totally thawing snow....or i had some meaty tires on, i would have more vids and pics on this post. as soon as it dries up or freezes again...no pics or vids. :headpop:
  22. ya ive noticed that every corner i take at like 25mph or so on gravelor snow and give it just a little gas, it seems to be in a lower gearing or something cuz when it downshifts the @$$ end kicks out on me. not thatmy supreme driving skillz can't straighten it out. and its crazy fast on the highways...i had a 1997 eagle talon turbo awd and i think it would of given it a run for its money!!! but my 88 has like a "sluggish" response......unless i flick the transmission switch on the dash...then its a little better, but dosent compare to my 92 though. just some input i also need tires and rims to buy or trade....and a 3" lift if anyone got one laying around....i know....another thread
  23. wow lots of info......so high output beats 4.0 as a dd and renix ( which i assume is the regular 4.0) is better for off roading? i just really wanted to know the stregnth and speed diffrence oh yeah and since it IS an upgradeed exhaust system, shouldnt the intake be upgraded as well to get the proper air flow .......to match the output? the one i have now is the same as my 88...not upgraded
  24. you dudes prob think this is a stupid question but here goes whats the diffrence between a reg 4.0 and a 4.0 high output? is that just what it says??? :huh???: high output= upgraded exaust system??? thats my guess lets see if I'm right :dunno:
  25. that is one sweet pic.....very helpful
