overheating still was a problem, so i tackled it yesterday. heater core got great flow, put a garden hose on the top input and it was POURING out of the bottom...so its good imho :dunno: replaced all collant hoses i could find found a vacume hose to heating hose was crushed flat not letting air through, so fixed it putting a 185 degree thermo in it today i can't seem to find the thread to burp system cuz i think the info I'm looking for is in like 2 or 3 diffrent ones i need to get the air out of my coolant, ive seen someone drill a small hole in the thermostat....whats that about? burping? then i know to park my truck on a hill as steep as i can and let it idle, but point up the hill, right? cuz down don't make sense to me ...just wanna make sure thanks :thumbsup: Paul

Give me some credit cw....i did them one day at a time, the noise was the dist. Cap and rotor spinning for the first time. I guess its ok cuz no noise now. I guess it was just wearing for the first couple spins,,idn

forget it, it was the dc and the rotor " finding its place" for the first few spins man, i should just look at crap for a while before i jump on this and post 1000 things here huh? :shake:

and i don't know what 1-5-3-6-2-4 means :dunno:

i just changed my dc, and i thought i put the wires how they go but now i hear a tick in my motor so I'm assuming that i put them on wrong 88 4.0 renix thanks again :bowdown:

Those are all nice! But what is the reasoning behind the angled D ring tabs? Just curious, looks "off" compared to the rest of the bumper(s). Here's mine. I plan to revise it for a winch.... eventually. these are more what I'm looking for the other bumpers are real nice, but not for me thanks!

got it....while i was checking the power tothe coil, i noticed the fuses looked wet. cleaned up, wd40d and were good! thanks again guys!

how do you check for spark at the coil i think that would narrow alot down

no spark at all drying coil and dc with hairdryer just a quick question though.....why is there oil in the bottom of my distributer???

ya....I'm getting a buddy here to turn it over to me to get spark i know...my vc is aluminun :doh: ....for now, but i couldnt see it anywhere else while turning it over myself... the coil is wd40d

if i take the plug out and ground it to the vc...i should see spark when i turn it over right? took off dc and it was a little bit dirty....cleaned it up didnt see any spark, but i am doing this alone, so i just kinda set it on the vc to look for spark :dunno: coil on the pass fender??? ill go check that now
