  1. Also I know when I grab the shaft I can spin it back and forth quite a bit
  2. I know I need tires, but these vibrations are new as of the cad fix. The ujoints are pretty bad shape from just looking at them. I just concerned it's either the tcase or diff. That would be a great way to top off my bad luck lately.
  3. I just did this fix on my 88, and at first I was having some vibrations at 60 mph or more and now I'm getting them significantly at 30 to 35, is this ujoints?
  4. theres a wire harness on the top of the engine right next to the firewall that tends to lose connectivity causes the engine not to spark. could be the culprit
  5. Yes you are right, what i was trying to get at is possibly the door hinge and/or other mount components may be sagging
  6. possibly the hinge bushings? i know that i have to lift up on my doors in order to close them, otherwise id say new seals need a little time to flatten out
  7. touch up air pressure in the tires, and re grease all of the grease points on the rig, I would also check for excess wheel movement in the bearings. and its always good to keep an eye on the fluid levels or look for potential leaks for a bit. along with fluid changes, spark plugs and cables, and I would personally run some sea foam through it. might as well go the whole nine yards huh? and as these guys already said, check brake lines, pads and rotors. it may even be worth it to reset the computer?

    Snowpocalypse

I myself am actually hoping for a little bit of a snow storm this year. though i understand why a lot of other people don't want it. we had around 6 inches a couple weeks ago in some areas 4-5 in others, like where i live. so my wife and i took a drive out to go have some fun. we watched some wanna be in a subaru try to drift in a parkinglot in which they almost hit a semi tractor trailer. but eh good thing they avoided it. EMS and Police services were pretty busy that night. several spin outs, and roll overs. and i witnessed an accident in which the driver was intoxicated and arrested while the passenger was being tested. but i think the biggest problem around these parts are the people being so impatient, and driving as if conditions were dry and not slick. and like you said not being prepared. we ended up helping several people up a few minor hills and offering others who made it after their tires were bald. hopefully if we get more snow people will be prepared. stay safe guys!
  9. thanks for all the replies guys! do any of you know if there is an individual plow mount that can be attached and used with a front hitch receiver attached or would the receiver have to be removed like the bumper?
  10. if you're able to you can always fabricate a mount that attaches with a couple of screws rather than cutting out a section of the cab, that looks clean, and slim but holds all the wiring away from weather etc. or you could cut a section out and have the wires run along the roof under trim and carpet/padding. there are numerous ways to install a light. it may be beneficial to look at other trucks that have a light on the back of the cab, and see exactly how it is installed.
  11. i saw a hitch receiver with plow mounts on the sides of it, on a Chevy Tahoe/gmc Yukon the other day in port Angeles, but i didn't see any brand names on it. so i know they do exist, just not so sure if there is one for a Comanche.
  12. Hey guys, i have an 88 Comanche, daily driver and work truck, I'm in the process of fixing up, but on the side of that and more important to me than body damage, is work, I'd like to find a front receiver hitch that also has snow plow mounts, and i was wondering if any of you already have a set up for it, and what would be best, anything you have is much appreciated!!!
