What are these relays for ?
AMC86Kid replied to AMC86Kid's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Why would the fog lights need relays ? I thought the relays would be for high beams -
The white one is by the driver side kick panel and the dark one is by the driver side front head light

I got this one it works great but it’s real loud sounds like your in a race car lol https://m.autozone.com/fuel-systems/fuel-pump-universal/mr-gasket-4-7-psi-electric-gas-fuel-pump-12s/732035_0_0

You can fit almost any AC system under the hood but you got to do modifications to get a lot of it to fit and look nice so no I don’t think there’s anything that’s gonna be easy to just bolt right up
-
Can you provide a pic or link of the kit you are talking about ?

the current fuel pump i have is just located outside but right next to the fuel tank my problem is that alot of times it fails to provide enough pressure to get the fuel all the way to the carb so my plan is to find a stronger fuel pump to swap this one with and to put this weaker one half way up so that way i have two fuel pumps this way the first pump only has to go up the fuel line half way and the other pump pushes it up the other half thus making it easier for the pumps so i was wondering if anyone recommends any pumps that are at 8 psi since my fuel pressure regulator next to the carb maxes at 8 psi https://www.autozone.com/external-engine/fuel-pump/spectra-premium-gasoline-diesel-fuel-pump-e8016s/191528_11979_5320&searchText=E8016S

Ignition Key Controls Wiring ?

I was wondering where the three thin wires that are connected to the turn key ignition switch go to ?
-
Yeah I have the correct vacuum line running from the distributor to the vacuum advanced port on my carb i can hear it work to there’s a bunch of suction when you accelerate
-
Now I need to hook up my timing light and see where my timing is at and needs to be at
-
Well I swapped the old (electric) for the new (vacuum) distributors and here’s how how it ran on the first start up 790CF948-0C57-4CB7-B152-98D6F4F5F433.MOV

I’m just gonna try to throw this one in and see if I can get it to work there no real point of tuning in the current one since it’s not gonna stay does anyone know if my engine is a non interference engine ? Or is it possible to ruin the engine if the timing is way off ?

Here a pic of the new Distributor that there sending me i sure hope its gonna work out ok its a company in Florida that sells them www.jminterpart.com 8242 NW 70th St. Miami FL 33166 USA Contact us: +1(305)593.10.07 Write us: sales@jmipart.com

I'm assuming my stock tach didn’t work because it had a bad connection threw the main firewall plug
-
Ok I took apart my main electrical firewall plug and toned out where both lines go the green one goes to the tachometer and the yellow one goes to the switch on the steering wheel for the key ignition
-
so i think that the yellow is a positive line because it gets the same voltage as the positive post on the battery would from the alternator but i have no clue where the green wire would be connected to or how is it getting the 12.7 volts
-
ok so i did some voltage checks on the ignition coil two wires (yellow) - (green with white strip) and i did not get what i thought i would see when the truck is off both lines are dead then when the truck is running the yellow wire gets 13.4 volts between yellow wire and negative terminal on battery and the green wire gets 12.7 volts between it and the negative on battery i also checked to see where the lines run threw the main electrical harness and they run to the master plug on the right side of the fire wall under the hood
-
i just ordered a new vacuum advanced one hopefully it works well see
-
Guess I will just rip the main wire harness apart and see where they go to
-
Ok so I currently have this electronic distributor on the 3.4 Is it possible to convert it to a vacuum advanced one ? Could I just buy the vacuum part Or or is it not possible and I have to buy the vacuum advanced distributor
-
So the two wires from the ignition coil feed into the main wire harness but does anyone know were they go too ?
-
Figured it out with this video his gauge and fuel sending unit works and looks very similar to jeeps
