  1. This truck was a factory built truck .There were two built (Limited edition) .The other one was dark blue . They were built just like an Xj limited, two tone with color matched grill, leather seats and every option available with Crome roll bars. They were special builds for the plant managers Gerry Huber and Ronnie Williams .
  2. I have a dump bed on mine http://rs174.pbsrc.com/albums/w90/streetwedg/IMG_0367.jpg?w=480&h=480&fit=clip
  3. Never took pictures of either truck. We used to see hundreds of the every day, so it was no big deal then. I know Ronnie Williams passed a few years ago. Don't know what happened to his truck. I didn't know Jerry Hubber's truck was in the museum. We used to have the Tommy Archer truck parked right by our work station.
  4. Yes, that one was driven by Jerry Hubber. There was a dark blue one driven by Ronnie Williams.
  5. There were two Comanche limited' built at the factory. They were built for the plant managers. One was dark blue and one. Was maroon. They had leather seats, power everything, and Crome roll bars. I worked on the asssembly line and used to see them every day.
  6. Yes that's it. #7 is the part I need
  7. I think it was only available before 87
  8. Trying to load rest of pics, having trouble with photobucket. I'll keep trying
  9. No it was an option from factory. I have everything but the switch. Even came with an accessory kit that contained a hose you could screw on compressor to fill tires, basket balls, or whatever,
  10. It's just an option. You don't need tcu, and don't have to mod trans mount or cross member.
  11. I don't remember if it came on mj's , but it was an option on xj's. Air compressor under hood with hight sensor from rear axel to body. Automatically raised the air shocks when load was put in and lowered when load was removed.
  12. I'm not looking for the brake Spenser. I'm looking for switch for air shocks leveling system. I have the under hood air compressor, harness, and air shocks. Need the switch that turns on compressor to pump up shocks
  13. Does anyone know where I can get the height senser switch for the load leveler system? I have everything else. Just need the switch that mounts on rear axel with rod to the bed.
  14. 1986 4cyl auto 4wd used a Chrysler trans. Get a small block mopar 904 and you can take the tail shaft and stock off the 4wd trans install on 904. That gives you a 4wd trams that bolts up to your 318 with no adapters and uses stock trans mount.you just have to make motor mounts.
  15. We saw thousands of jeeps every day. No way I could remember any particular one.
  16. Ther were tunnels under the buildings (70 buildings at the old factory) that they put obsolete parts in then bricked them up.the old plant is gone now but I wouldn't be surprised if parts are still buried there
  17. Sorry no pics. Didn't have cell phones back then & cameras were not allowed in plant
  18. I know that there were two Comanche limited's built. The limited pkg was not available on Comanches. But the plant manager and the top boss in the repair garage had them built for them. One was burgundy ,the other was dark blue. They had leather seats. Crome roll bars and bed rails.and every option available.
  19. Sorry , I forgot about the police pkg. i worked the assembly line as a repair man. Fixed cars as they were built. Probably forgot more than I remember.
  20. Hi, my name is chuck, I live in Portland Tn. Moved here 2 yrs ago from Toledo Oh. I am retired from Chrysler. I worked 30 yrs at the jeep factory and 2 yrs at Kuka building wrangler body's. I was on the xj assembly line from 83 till the old plant closed in 2001. Xj's and mj's were built on the same line.I have a 87 mj long bed with dump bed. A few years ago I sold it to my son-in-law, he had the trans go out so I bought it back. The truck is still in Ohio so I have to get it down here to work on it.my first mj was an 86 4cyl auto 4wd. I changed the trans case to a Chrysler 904 with tail stock And shaft from the 4wd mj so I could bolt in a small block mopar v8. I made motor mounts but never got it in before I sold it.the plan is to put it in the dump truck as soon as I get it here
  21. All xj's had floor shifters. Only the mj's were available with columb shift. There were no three speed Manuels in any xj or mj.
