  1. RIP Don.
  2. The canister was pulled from the truck long ago, I'll have to crawl under there and do some poking around. It was the first time iv'e started it since my axle shaft flew out on the highway and i just got everything back in working order. Wouldn't think loosing the axle shaft and the truck dipping onto the axle would mess something up around the tank
  3. It's a Jeep Cherokee Wagoneer front clip. 100% bolt on, just make sure you get the headlight harness for easy plug and play https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/wagoneer-front-nose-conversion-39810/
  4. It sounds like a stand alone noise, as i can clearly hear the pump humming away then this hissing noise overtop of it. I have a newer filter on one of my other comanches, maybe i'll try a switch it in tomorrow and see what i get
  5. Would a plugged filter cause the tank to produce a hissing noise? I replaced the fuel filter about 2k
  6. Went to fire up the 89 for the first time in about 2 months and immediately noticed a hissing noise coming from around the gas tank upon start up. It stays constant until shutdown. Any ideas on what could be causing the noise?
  7. This is the donor axle I bought to harvest the axle shaft since mine was all chewed up. Also a 89 non c clip axle. Would it just be some sort of rtv opposed to being an actual seal? Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
  8. One of my axel shafts flew out of my 89 and seems to have pulled the orange seal of some sorts from the diff housing into the axel tube. It's a dana 35 non c clip. I'm having a hard time finding any info or even a part number. Any help would be appreciated . Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
  9. 4pm in which time zone? EST
  10. Welcome to CC, Mr. Renix God!
  11. Thank you, but do you know exactly where it goes? I'm not seeing any sensor/switch to connect it to around the power steering area. Not very familiar with the 2.5l
  12. There are lots of factory splices like that on these vehicles just covered in tape lol. Start by checking your ground wires!
  13. Been cleaning up the wirining recently and found this guy. Just curious if anyone knows what this connector is for on my 87 2.5L
  14. I use my compressor not my mouth :P
  15. Just dropped mine yesterday to paint it actually! This is what I've always done to empty a tank
  16. Seems to be in the right spot, and the cps is not touching
  17. Lots of fuel pressure, just actually disconnected the vacuum line running to the MAP sensor and shes not stalling anymore. I was getting the right voltage from the MAP sensor when i tested it, but could it still be bad?
  18. TBI, sorry i should've added that
  19. Just picked up a 1987 2.5l 5 speed for my cummins project down the road. But would like to get this motor running well for the time being before it's pulled. Ive never owned a 2.5l so this is a new experience for me. I fire it up and it'll stall right away unless I feather/tap the throttle for sometime (holding down the throttle will cause it to stall after a few seconds) then it'll run no problem for a few minutes then start to bogg down and I'll have to feather/tap it again to get it back to idle. The previous owner just installed a new fuel pump, filter, plugs, wires, and cap. I was thinking maybe something to do with the egr? Any help would be appreciated
  20. Can now view transmission information on my R.E.M.
  21. He just got into the TCU!
  22. I believe he tested it on a friends manual that wasn't 100% put together/running properly so he thought it wouldn't work, but then someone bought an alpha model and tried it on a manual and confirmed that it worked
  23. Don't have the unit on hand but here's a photo from the ebay listing
  24. Have had mine for a couple weeks :D
