  1. I drove over 2,400 miles last month from NY to Utah and can't imagine spending that much seat time! I got tired of driving after 1,500 miles
  2. Both! Went to a Autozone, napa and car quest and nobody Behind the counters has "never seen something like that" I was just going to file the edges of a 10a big fuse and see if that did anything..
  3. Got the breaker out and went to 3 parts stores and none of them had any :( everything else works fine. I ended up just getting some rainx and saying screw it and drove over 200 miles yesterday without wipers in the rain.. That was fun
  4. I found the 7 wire white flat connector but can't find the other connector for it? And my 5.5 amp breaker is stuck in the fuse panel. Anyone have pictures? I know it's tight in there but pics would help out a lot
  5. The lights aren't my problem anymore it's the lack of wipers! They worked fine before I unplugged the high/low switch on the column and then changed out the dimmer switch in the dash and and put it all back together only to not have working wipers. Since there isn't a fuse for them and the wiper module looks to be okay what else should I check... I'm going camping up at American fork canyon and its supposed to rain and snow all weekend..
  6. It's quite possible, ill wiggle it later and see what happens. What else should I check?
  7. Check out Johnnyquests build thread http://comancheclub.com/topic/29713-88-comanche-chief-the-unitruggy/?fromsearch=1
  8. So I've replaced the headlight dimmer switch in the dash 2 times in the past 6 months, the headlight switch 2 months ago and lost my head lights last week and havent had time to play with them.. after taking out the headlight switch and finding out it was fine i swapped out the dimmer switch in the dash with a spare one 5 minutes ago and now I don't have working wipers.. I tried looking to see if I disconnected anything but its been a long day and I don't know what else is involved in the electrical side of the wipers.. Any suggestions? They worked fine the other day :burnsjeeptoground:
  9. Thanks man! I have 4.10s and 35s and its manual so 2200 was 67ish mph which feels like the sweet spot for my truck
  10. Finally added my pics to my photobucket and finished unpacking all my stuff into my new house! Made the trip with no major issues besides losing a Lower control arm bolt on the axle side somewhere in Illinois haha. I brought extra nuts and bolts in just about any size and put a new one in and kept going to Nebraska where a tractor trailer with a flatbed had a million rocks on it and of course one found its way to the middle of my new windshield :/ I averaged about 17 mpgs and can't complain because I had some weight in it. Ill post pics in order from Sandusky Ohio next to Lake Erie to the Utah border! Camped out overnight on Rabbits Ear Pass near steamboat springs and it was beautiful! Had some coyotes come really close to our campsite but was still a nice night in the middle of the woods Made the rest of the trip from steamboat springs to my new house and stopped at the Dinosaur National monument and saw some cool stuff and then passed the border into Utah for the home stretch! 2,461 long hard miles later I can say this truck has done more than I can ask of it!
  11. Welp driving through Toledo Ohio right now on my second day on the road, stopped at the KOA Campground in Sandusky and hope to make it to the next one near Omaha Nebraska by tonight! Trucks full and sagging a little bit but doing good so far! Keeping my speed between 65-70 and getting 17 mpgs!
  12. It looks worse then it really is, sheet metal bends easily and takes a little elbow grease and finesse to move it back into place... Ask me how I know! My roof was crushed against the passenger seat headrest.. The hood is replaceable and your headliner is a 20 minute job! Even if there is beer involved it might take 30 haha  start small and you'll get used to tinkering with stuff, good luck!
  13. I have a bunch of tan interior pieces you can have for cheap! Door panels/ arm rests and lower dash piece, glove box cover and a few more things if you're interested
  14. My friend had one that we used to beat on in his backyard, they're fun little things. I think you have to open the glovebox to pop the hood lol
  15. I think I have my route picked out for the most part. Ill stop in Akron Ohio for my first night since I have a friend there then possibly stop in Toledo? Don't know what else is there besides the Jeep house which I've heard is invite only? Ill probably stop at the worlds largest truck stop in Iowa off I-80 for a night, still have no idea what there even is in Nebraska. In Colorado ill stop outside Denver, most likely go on a couple bypasses(glenwood springs)(Rabbits peak) and camp a night or two or three B) along the way before I get to steamboat springs then take a straight ride all the way to Kamas Utah
  16. Thanks for the heads up stroker! So I've spent the last 4 hours on traildamage.com and looking at trail pics elsewhere. I can't wait to get out there!
  17. Awesome info guys! Thanks so much! I'd love to stop and grab a beer with anyone if I'm passing somewhat close to yah, I think I'm taking I-80 then going across Colorado to do some exploring
  18. That's the stuff I'm into @dscowell, I just need a names of places/trails to check out and I should be able to find em
  19. I have time but money is another thing haha I've gone skydiving and went on king da kah at six flags numerous times in NJ, roller coasters are fun and all but what about any waterfalls/ caves/ other "free" places to check out?
  20. This is the info I'm looking for! Thanks guys, keep it comin!
  21. At the end of this month ill be driving my MJ and all my stuff 2200 miles, because I'm moving! Leaving this traffic filled island to go all the way to Park City Utah! I built a sleeping platform in the bed to sleep a couple nights and stay at a hotel halfway through for a shower and a soft bed I plan on making it a 4-5 day trip so I can stop and see some stuff along the way. Mostly interested in where/what to see in Colorado and Ohio. I don't really know what's out there. Since some of you guys are from these states or have travelled there, what's there to see and eat? Thanks :wavey:
  22. Finished putting on my frame stiffys and some little stuff like changing my headlight bulbs to a less noticeable color so I don't get pulled over cross country. The stiffeners help tremendously with ride quality and I noticed my steering is a bit tighter too. No more little squeaks and bumps aren't felt as much.
  23. Ordered a new tranny mount and built my sleeping platform for the cross country trip! Had my girlfriend help me out too B)
