Tankertom's 89 Comanche
tmanhollister replied to M1A1TankerTom's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Looking good! -
Image Not FoundImage Not Found How she's sitting today. Working on making her more street friendly for the time being. Thinking about doing a real paint job on her too. Steering system with the flip kits should be next on the list besides installing the passenger corbeau seat. Also looking into the wj vacuum booster/mc and sway bar swap. All my buddy's are going to lose their red sticker riding season soon, so it will be back to working on the jeep.

i like it! can you put up some pics of how your front end is set up? -
picked up some corbeau gt7's. carpet is almost finished, seats after that, then speakers and a new deck. can't wait to get this thing out there Image Not Found

got the floor lined with undercoating. hosed off the carpet and realized its not in that bad of shape.. just needs a good cleaning. will be putting this up for sale (I bought black carpet already). also, sprayed some duplicolor rubberized undercoating on my center consol because it wasnt in good shape, came out GREAT in my opinion. might finish off the rest of my interior panels with this, going to see the durability of it first. here's some pics. Corbeau Seats In A Mj?
tmanhollister replied to tmanhollister's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Jenssen: that's definitely the way to go, but I'm short on fabbing skills and will most likely check out the fitment of corbeaus bracket first. Hornbrod: thanks for the link, that didn't show up on my search. -
http://www.filthymotorsports.com/Corbeau_Baja_Ultra_SS_p/corb-ultrass.htm been thinking of buying a set of these instead of getting the original buckets recovered. Anyone have experience with these and/or seat brackets?

Thanks, and yeah, I will Probably do it today actually. I was throwing around the idea to keep it since I will be getting a bumper that will be right next to it, but yeah, I think I'm going to cut it.

Took her out today. First time on the 36's and 488s. Everything worked pretty well. Definitely need to upgrade the steering as I can see that puny tierod bending pretty easily. Here's some pictures. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found

Alexia's 1987 To 1997 Comanche

I need to do this soon, so i want to get this right. this is concerning the 96 cherokee swap, not concerning the zj-wj swap as it seems the xj swap is much easier with similar results. this will be on my 91 mj. I can get a booster/mc set up from a 96 cherokee, and it will bolt right in, no modification? *are the mc output holes on the correct side, or will new lines need to be made? *has anyone blown out their load sensing valve by adding the extra pressure or had issues with the rears locking up even with the valve,(where should the valve be set for correct operation) I will be buying new parts, which through vatozone is going to come to ~120. not bad for a preventative measure replacement/big upgrade.

Putting off the full widths for a different rig. Let me know what you think! Image Not Found Image Not Found Now with some 36" tsl's. Image Not Found

I haven't really beat on them, but they are pretty thick and I would think they could hold up well.
