  1. interesting.... i'd want the dark anyway, so that works. thank you streetjeep for the link, and wildman, you have a pm coming.  If you really want a new CRL rear slider, drop me a PM, I'll have a better price for you ;) But note, they only have the dark tint available now, and about 34 in stock, (17 in LA)
  2. '89 LWB mj. really would like to find a rear hitch, trying not to spend the $200 for a new one. would also LOVE to pick up a sliding back window, as my a/c ceased functioning long ago, and is being removed. the closer to san diego, the better. thanks!!
  3. i recall running across something online about someone who did that. it was along the lines of making an "adapter plate" to make the ba-10 attach to the ax-15 mount. it didn't look terribly involved-IF you have the fab ability, materials, and time. i'll see if i can find that page again...
  4. it will bolt up just fine. the biggest issue would be the lack of an egr bung, which may or may not matter-depending on the emissions testing for your state. also it will be lacking an o2 sensor bung, and the current downpipe will have to be modified(IIRC). not really that big a deal, and the o.e. renix manifold is a not a very hi-po piece anyway... edit: just noticed you're in CA as well, wouldn't be that big a deal to weld in a bung to keep the egr. if i didn't already have a borla renix header, i'd be doing just that.

    Linux Mint?

i am. :D i started with mint 7(switched over from ubuntu), swapped that for linux mint 8 right after it came out. i LOVE it. i could not ask for a better os, it does everything perfectly, and is VERY intuitive(imo).
  6. tow package gears would be 3.31's.
  7. on the earlier 4.0's, like my renix(just did the o-rings), the part numbers are three separate o-rings: 33002970, 33002971, and 33002972. one of each.
  8. this is something i was concerned about. i've seen that happen on a cj once.
  9. good to know also. any difference in the spring rate?
  10. thanks, and thanks. no money to do much to the mj right now, so i'm just making plans for the time being.
  11. any downside to this, like lack of travel/articulation? i've been considering this when i do the soa, in order to keep from having to lift the front 8 feet in the air to level it out.
  12. hey everybody. new here, just picked up a comanche(finally!) a couple weeks ago. been trying to find one off and on for the last couple years. have had a few xj's, still have one-a '96, although my original desire was for an mj. been on naxja for a while now, but time to join The Comanche Club. '89 long bed, 4.0, 4x4, manual trans(ba-10 unfortunately), d35, power nothing-just the way i like it. picked it up for $900. it had been sitting for a couple years under a tree. it was nasty-filthy. got a few minor issues to sort out, mostly dried out seals and the like. pretty straight and original, no rust-except for surface scratches here and there. i'm pretty stoked with it so far.
