  1. on the 88, might be the ballast resistor located on the DS inner fender. A little white block with with 2 wires running into it. Run a jump wire, bypassing the resistor, and if it starts, than put a new one in. Oh, and if it were me i would fix both and have 2

  8. the interior was definitely one of the reasons i bought it. those buckets are a major upgrade over the bench in the 92, o and tilt column
  9. Well i decided to sell the 92 in search of something a little more highway friendly, as I am making a lot of trips to the VA/MD area in the next few months. Picked this up today, 89 eliminator, 4.0 2wd d35 5spd. Almost 190k on the clock, runs like and drives like a champ. Overall a real clean truck for living in north jersey its whole life. Plans for the time being are a few minor upgrades, and maybe a spray in liner. Once time an money permits, a mild lift, 31's, 97+ conversion (nose and doors), silver paint and black eliminator graphics. Enough of the yappin, here's some pics And the temporary group shot :( , wish i had money to keep both
  10. here's the link to my 92, its got a little floor rust but thats pretty much it. http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/1836511543.html
  11. i've only heard good things about RE, never had any of there stuff myself, but i've seen lots of happy people who use there stuff
  12. Mine is hardwired in my 92. i was just looking at my options, since i figured i'll hard wire either one any way. It will only see street duty so it shouldn't be faced with too much heat. thanks for the input
  13. the only way it could be spring over front is if he did a leaf spring conversion up front :ack: . Its been done, but i'm not a fan of it
  14. i would move this to the wanted section, more people would most likely see it there
  15. Does anyone know how many CFM the stock clutch fan produces? I am asking because the 89 i just purchased is missing the clutch fan and i was wondering if it would be better to install an after market fan or just go with stock. Whichever i choose will be run to a switch, so i'll do all the wiring for it.
  16. those are pretty damn nice looking, but mfpdm scored a set for me. thanks for the help guys

  21. As long as i can get "the window" up than i'm good. thanks guys
  22. Went and looked at an 89 eliminator today an the only problem i found with the truck its that the PS window wouldn't roll up. The lady said she had just rolled the window down before i got there. When i went to roll it up, it sounded like something wasn't catching. The teeth on the window crank and the stud that comes out of the door looked fine. I wonder if the window is off the track? How hard is it to fix this? Any help is appreciated
  23. to adapt the drive shaft to fit the 8.8 you would need an adapter yoke like this http://www.mountainoffroad.com/_e/Ford_ ... _YJ_TJ.htm
  24. Well its confirmed an eliminator. Its actually a really clean truck. The lady i'm buying it from got it from her neighbor a few months back, an she said he had owned it as long as she can remember. Possible original owner. Floors are solid, interior looks brand new besides the headliner. A few rust spots but very fixable. All in all its a sweet little truck. I'll have pictures up tomorrow.
  25. Check your vacuum lines also, my 92 had a broken line to the MAP sensor and it idle real rough for the first 30 seconds
