And here comes the 91 MJ that I paid $300 for. I mainly wanted the bed/tailgate/taillights. I gave my buddy the rest.

Drivers door from my buddies 99 XJ is on. Gotta do some aligning of it and finalize the latch.

Starting a tailgate collection it seems...

I located this at the junkyard and figured it was way better then the one on the jeep currently. It has a tiny rot spot but ive poked around it and the rest is solid. Ill be able to fix it up easy.

Got most of the final stuff out of the engine bay and got it coated. I still plan on doing a few more coats as I missed some spots.

First coat of herculiner is on. I like how well this held up on my XJ Inside and out. So figured it would be perfect for this one.

Got a nice coat of primer down.

Slowly started the grueling task of sanding her all up.

Time for the fun. We put the jeep up on blocks in the rear to pull the rear axle. But I'm taking the axles from the green 86 to install in her so its okay by me.

Drivers floor. Needs replaced. But purchasing a $45 complete floor pan from C2C wasn't bad at all.

Passenger floor. Surface rust but solid.

Now comes the purchase of the 90. My buddy paid $500 for this. I purchased the frame/unibody/ stripped for $250. He sold the motor and 44 rear end and interior. Which was fine by me. I had all the parts to go in her.

The bed was awaiting its new owner. Which it found. For $500.

Pulled the front bumper off. Installed the 97-01 Front Clip & Fenders.

She was really clean up top. Longbed had 1 half size spot of rust on it.

the 86 the day after she was brought home. Yes I know the driveshaft is on the ground. Overall she looked solid.... Minus the non running 2.5l and the frame being rotten about 2-3 feet up the rear... Too bad I didn't go to pick it up. I wouldn't of wanted it then. Yes it can be fixed. But at a good little expense.

I'm looking at a $30 license plate mount that slides in the receiver. The jcr bumper is nice and sits flush.

Hey! So long story short i recently purchased 3 comanches. I have parted a 99 cherokee out a few months ago and kept the motor,trans,tcase,dash and some interior pieces. So I'm planning on building the 90 up but using the bed,tailgate,tailights off the 91. The axles, hood and some trim from the 86. But the motor and trans/tcase from the 99 XJ. So here it goes.

Jcr Offroad has a nice bumper with the hitch for around $250.

Front or rear bumper?
