The diagram I working with isn't that great, its from a chilton that covers xj/mj/zj from 84/98. Ill try replacing the ignition switch tomorrow when it isn't raining.
-
Yeah, so when I hold the key in the starting position the engine stays running but the starter sounds like it disengages but I'm not 100% sure about that.
-
So my MJ has randomly stop running. Looking under the hood I notice that the green fusible link was fried. I replaced it and now the jeep only stays running if I hold the ignition switch in the starting position. I have a feeling its the ecm but I don't know for sure. My jeep has a 4.0 and a manual transmission.

The e-brake cable in my Comanche snapped and was wondering if there is alternative cable that would fit a swb Comanche because all of the auto part stores near me said it would take roughly a week for a new cable to come in and i would prefer having a working e-break sooner then a week

What i ment by leak is that there is a crack
-
There's a leak coming from the side of my oil pan. I found a good deal on a 258 oil pan, I know I'll have to change the oil pick up tube but is there anything else I'll have to change to make the pan fit.

That is not what I'm looking for but thanks for trying, I'm looking for where the side of the bed curves by the tailgate
-
I guess I'll have to make a new corner or find a parts truck then
-
One of the rear corners on the bed of my truck was smashed in by the original owner. Does anyone make replacements or know of something else that would work.

Anyone looking for bed-side Patch Panels?

Does anybody know where to get rear bed corners? -
As the day keeps going on this Comanche concept is starting to grow on me but there is a few things about it that need to be changed.
-
I wasn't expecting that.

I didn't have a helper push down on the clutch while checking, I'll go back and try again.

Turn Signal Cancelling Problems
MJfan94 replied to big66440's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Napa has them, the part number is 735-2781. -
Checked my firewall on both sides and it's clean and looked inside my bell housing and no evidence of brake fluid.

So lately in the morning I have to pump my clutch pedal a few times to build up pressure and the rest of the day it's fine, it's like the pressure disappears overnight. This has only been happening the last few mornings and I just replaced the clutch mc in November and I've checked to see if bubbles came up in the mc or if there are any leaks on the ground and bled the system twice now and I can't figure it out.

Thanks for all the feed back, I'll try using blue loctite and hopefully everything doesn't fall apart on me
-
Ill take it apart and check for dirt or anything and use locktite this time. Also what type of locktite should i use?
-
I changed the ball joints recently and i torqued the back three hub bolts to 75ftlbs but they keep backing up. Do i have the wrong torque setting or is there something I'm doing wrong.
-
Thanks for the info. I do some very mild offroading right now and i was considering replaceing my axle shafts from the two part kind to the solid shaft kind and get rid of that vacuum axle thing and wanted to know if it would be worth it and it looks like it might just be.
-
So i heard that cv style axle shafts fit on the dana 30 on xj and mj and i was wondering if theres any benefits to the swap or not.

The trailer plugs are good, but after removing the lower part of the dash and looking up under the dash I found my problem. There are several spliced wires and some exposed wires. Then it came to me that the original owner was telling me when I bought the truck that at one point he was trying to install an aftermarket cruise control system in it and I guess he didn't know what he was doing. After cleaning everything up, the fuse has not blown
-
If it's what I'm thinking your talking about and it's the end of the old turn signal stock, I drilled a screw into mine when part of it broke off inside and just pulled it out that way.
-
Thanks so much, I'll start working on the wiring harness tomorrow after work, hopefully it's going to be something simple.
-
Yeah a diagram would be great. The headlight switch looked fine. The fuse only blows when i turn the day time running lights or headlights.
