  1. Paint on the drivers side! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Just dropped it off for body work and paint, should be about 3 weeks until I have it back! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Is it saying I’m the OP when I post? I’m using Tapatalk and it’s not cooperating... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Nothing new, running great as a 4.0L should! I’ve been considering a supercharger kit. Does anyone have any experience with the BoostedTech supercharger kit? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Haven’t updated in forever, got the new lift and tires on a few months ago. Not much else has changed! Here’s a picture :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Just a quick question, the typical break in period for a ring and pinion is 500 miles. Assuming that is the case under a constant load. Well my situation is, I just had 4.10 gears i nstalled in my front Dana 30. I'm obviously not going to be in 4wd all of the time, so what would the suggested break in period be for a ring and pinion that is technically just free spinning under no load? 1000 miles 3000 miles? It's a mystery! Just wondering if anyone could help me out! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  7. All finished up! Next project is the power locks and windows! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  8. I ended up cutting the bracket to accommodate for the body brace. Everything else fit pretty well! FYI for anyone looking to run the Rough Country kit, don't use their self tapping bolts. They say to torque them to 30 ft/lb but they strip out at about 20! I just drilled a hole and fished some through bolts in their place! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  9. Got the axle back from the powder coat shop! Installed the ball joints (my least favorite POS job to do on a vehicle) and installed the inner axle seals! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  10. In the mean time, I've ordered Rough Country's long arm kit and it has proven a pain in the butt to install on a 86 2.8 converted to 4.0! There has been tons of cutting! You can see in the picture that the body brace will have to be cut off to hold the side bracket. I'm thinking I'll weld two 1/4 inch angle iron braces to re support it once it has been cut out! Any other ideas from you guys? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  11. Finished welding the truss on the Dana 30, sent it off about 2 weeks ago to be sandblasted and powder coated and should be picking it up today! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  12. Perfect, thanks for the quick responses guys! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  13. I am in the process of rebuilding an HP Dana 30 from a 96 XJ, I was wondering if there is a bearing on the outer axle tube (look at the attachment) or just a seal? If so what is the pert number or what could I use as search criteria to find it? Thanks so much in advance! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  14. Building up the Dana 30 from the donor XJ, I was either going to build or buy an overall truss, reinforce the C's, 3 link control arms, and 1 ton steering. I don't do any crazy offloading and will never go over 35" tires so I think this axle will suffice! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  15. Just installed the TUFF STUFF Offroad Winch Bumper, really like the look of it! It looks a lot like JCR's, it just doesn't have the spot for the LED cubes. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  16. Nothing new really, I've installed the keyless entry sensor from the donor 4.0 XJ and love it, it's pretty awesome having power windows as well! I also got the A/C system sealed up and working. Sometime in June I will be taking it to have body work done on it and paint! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  17. Thank you, sir! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  18. Is it possible one of the mods could change the title of this thread to "1986 2.8L to turbo 3.4L to 4.0L MJ...." Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  19. Update, 4.0 is running great and is probabily one of the best things I've done to the Jeep! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  20. The side mount Eaton kit? That requires the later 3-bolt power steering mount which you already have, so you are good to go. I'm looking at this kit myself. Go ahead and get it, and let me know how if flies. It's some time in the future! But if I do by chance snag it before you, I'll put it in this thread!
