Thanks, yeah I'm in W-S. I have all the stuff you need, as well as some bucket seats and most of the tan interior. If you take it all you can have it for a 12 pack of Miller Lite. Jeff

Got my sway bar painted & ready to install. Picked up a set of Energy Suspensions' 28mm greasable poly bushings off Ebay for just over $20 shipped. Bushing: I'm going to use my RE end-links when I install it:

Got a couple of more pieces today :clapping: Got one from Steve at smsheadliners. I found him while I was digging through some old posts. He sells a complete MJ headliner with the panel, which is great for me cause my panel was unusable. Even includes enough extra material for the visors. Not OE, but pretty nice :

A few pics of the initial carpet fitment: Took both shifters out, mad it a little easier to fit:

Minor Junk yard score. According to my Energy Suspensions Catalog, XJ sway bars came in 23mm (like on my MJ), 24mm, 25mm and 28mm. The back is 16mm, if anybody cares. I measured the ZJs and the ones I measured were 25mm. All of the XJs were 23mm. I was about to pull one from a mid 90's ZJ and measured the one on an old 2 door XJ next to it...28mm. $15 and it's mine. Pretty beefy, stock is the top one: Stock is on the left: BTW after the fact I was looking at the bushings and if the vehicle has stock bushings in it they have the size of the bar written on the side...

My late Mother retired from there with 18 years, and she said basically the same thing about their grocery section. Walmart is the worst. They have lawyers that do nothing but fight each and every workmans comp claim regardless of the situation. You've all seen the the person in the garden shop who checks your receipt, right? The one that worked at the store my Mom worked was a 75 year old part-timer, he asked a couple of guys to see their receipt. Turned out they were attempting to steal a flat screen TV, knocked the old guy so violently to the ground they broke his hip. 2 1/2 years later they paid his claim. Their reason for fighting the claim? He attempted to stop shoplifters, which is against their new rules. Even though his job was to stop customers and ask to see a receipt. :hmm: I despise Walmart. I'll pay more elsewhere.

Seam sealed, undercoated and ready for the inner fender liner:

Great info. Looks like the SOA is more than I need/want. I've heard good things about HellCreek on here, and they have a 4.5" SUA pack. That's the route I'll most likely take. You're right, by the way, I test fit one on the 265's (31.8") on the back, and there is more than adequate room

Since it was easy to access I decided to redo my repair to the damage from the old clutch master cylinder leak. This is what I had to start with: I pressure washed all the old undercoating off, wire brushed the gummy body sealant off and ground down the rusty metal: Two coats of rusty metal primer, and tomorrow night I'll reapply the body sealant over the holes. After that dries I'll touch up the inside. Believe it or not this is the worst rust I have: Got a big box from UPS today :clapping: :  Jeff

Small world, right? Welcome aboard.

My son helps out a lot. I put a lift on his XJ for him, so he owes me.

I'll limit the pics of the grunt work. Spent the day power washing the front end:

It does help, that's a lot more lift than I'm looking for. Appreciate the pics.

 my mistake, simplified it and fixed it

Thanks Pete.

Just got back from talking to my friend at Jmedic, I'm good to go thanks for the responses.

What's a bad idea is the people I see at High rock towing a 22' pontoon boat with a stock XJ. The question wasn't about stuffing a big tire under the truck it was about matching the front to the rear. I understand the limitations of towing/hauling with a lifted vehicle, I've towed the above mentioned trailer for over 3 years with my XJ without any issues, and my XJ is actually sitting higher than the MJ ever will be.

I'm currently installing the front half on my 3.5" RE lift on the front of my MJ. I'm looking for the best way to match the rear to the front. I plan on towing a relatively small trailer with two sport ATV's on it occasionally. Would it be best to go with a SOA and try to do away with a little of the lift or simply go with lift springs and keep the SUA configuration?

Started the front suspension and axle today, you can see where I pulled the old Pioneer stripe off last week. Out with the old: Pretty bare: Tweaked a little: The old Vacuum Disconnect fights back:  Jeff

Carpet is on order shooting for the first week in Sept. for installation.

Big Bumper=Instant Cure  Gorgeous truck BTW, great job.

...or does anyone know of an aftermarket retractable seat belt that will work in a MJ?

Most of my interior pieces were either broken or scuffed up, and the tan was impossible to find around here. The XJ:
