  1. We have the Crown Performance Brake Lines on the truck now and they are very cool.
  2. We enjoy supporting and promoting those who have supported us. We are working hard now to get ready for the Great Alaska Meet and Greet in Palmer, Alaska early this summer. As the largest 4x4 gathering in the state, it’s an event not to miss. We will be taking our shop truck and one of our trail rigs, the 400-mile trek to Palmer will be a great advertising opportunity. We look forward to continuing the built up of the shop truck with all new equipment and decals installed and ready, as well as new custom fab work, before we hit the road. 3. Here are a few more pics of the AGR setup before install.
  4. Yes that’s a new pump and the ram is 8". There is a 6", 8", and 9" rams that you can get from AGR. So far it's worked great. Turns nice and smooth and no bump-steer at all, ever. Still haven't built a bumper to mount the EPI-9.0 Superwinch in. The Staun BeadLocks are here and we need to install those. We are putting those in my wife’s XJ’s 33" MTR and 12x15 rims. Then they will be swapped on and off between the Shop MJ and her XJ, to get the most testing from them. We also have a nice set of Crown Performance Brake Lines sitting here that need to go on. These lines are sweet. Teflon inner core Kevlar braid Protective layer Stainless steel braid Protective vinyl cover in any color New one piece crimp design. Ours are red to match the truck and around 30" long just in case we go taller later. If interested in any of these products please let us know. The break lines are priced nice too. A Jeep set of 3 any needed length plus shipping starting at $100.00.
  5. Rock Ram is on. Here is a simi new photo.
  6. I know I'm slacken on the sliders. I can make you guys a cage. Best bet would be for me to bend and notch it all, ship it and have you find someone to weld it up. Not going to be cheap with the shipping though. Sliders our on my list to do. Right now I need to get this AGR Rock Ram kit on. Here is the AGR Rock Ram kit we will be putting on the Shop MJ. We will also be starting a winch bumper to fit our new 9,000 pound EPI Superwinch in with 3/8" synthetic winchline from Winchline.com topped off with one of our Holeproof Aluminum Fairleads. If you are intrested in any of these products or fab work please contact us.
  7. No not yet. I have a set of 31" snow tires here but they need to get swapped on to the rims. Kinda waiting for the Staun beadlocks to show up then maybe the 33 MTR's off our XJ while I sawp the 9.25 into that. I have a set of 35x16's if I had a set of 5 on 4.5 x16 rims too.
  8. Bed cage is done minus the light bar and hi-lift mount.
  9. Come on up, if you need help or just need a yard to camp in let us know. That goes for anyone here too. We would love to show you around or go hit some trails. The drive though BC, the Yukon and Alaska is breath taking. I have done it near 20 times now and it never gets old. I'll be slapping this cage in as soon as the paint drys. The hi-lift mount and light bars will have to weight, since nothing is open to get parts. The hi-lift mount will be simaler to this XJ on I made. I will sit just below the bad rails so it can't get shoved though the rear window. .
  10. Simi flat black. The lower cross bar will be a hi-lift mount and I'll build a ajustable light bar up top. That way I can just remove the lights or fold them back when I don't need them. Do you mean fill in around the welds? If so no. My welds usely look good but I just changed to a soild wire and it look like crap. Really not happy with this new wire.
  11. Not done yet, but it is ready to fit to the truck, weld and paint. What do you guts think so far? Other then this I receved the AGR Rock Ram kit that I will put on next month sometime and I have a Superwinch EPI 9.0 winch on its way. Next on the list to build are the winch bumper and sliders.
  12. Rides nice, better then the old stock suspension. Not sure on the tires yet. Those tiny ones are really good on the snow so I might wait. The kit says it can fit 32” with rubbing.
  13. Truck with lift on and K&N Filters in. We also have the winch line from Winchline.combut no winch to put it on yet. We are having a kick @$$ sale on the winchline this month. We really need tires too, but they are good on the snow.
  14. In light of the next shop truck donation we are having a killer sale on Synthetic Winchline for the month of December. This is not a group buy or buy-in. Holeproof Industries is offering 12% off all Wincline.com products. Shipping on one line is around $16-18. You may order anytime in December, but after that prices are back to normal. Remember to pickup a Holeproof Aluminum fairlead with your order of winchline to keep it in good shape. http://www.holeproofindustries.com/hole ... rleads.htm
  15. The MJ’s stock shock mounts are part of the spring/u-bolt plates. When you do the SOA on the rear those plates go from right under the leaf spring to just above the leaf spring. This is something that wasn’t thought of when the kit was put together as it mostly parts from an XJ kit. After the SOA the shock mount sits higher then before. This makes the new longer shocks impossible to put on. I decided to do it this way. I have seen where some have cut and flipped the stock spring/u-bolt plat upside down. (LSPV) is the rear Load sensing proportionate valve. It something I have only seen on Pick-up trucks. It’s connected to the brake line and can controls the rear brakes depending how mach weight you are haling. If you ask around on here someone else may know more about it then I do.
  16. I aready resized them they where twice that size. Yeah the front lift is done too and it rides much better then it did before. If I where to wheel this truck a lot I would up-grade to the ajustable upper & lower contral arms, but this kit is a good on/off road kit. I'm very happy with it so far.
  17. Sorry they are so big I will try to resize them later.
  18. Here are two shots from the rear. What I want to point out is if you decide to keep the rear LSPV, you will need to pull the two diff cover bolts that hold it on. The ball that the rod snaps onto can be removed. Remove this ball and swap sides. Flip the bracket upside down and backwards and bolt back on to the diff. It should be setting just about the same place as it was before the lift. I did this with the Dana 44 rear end. On my other MJ had the Dana 35 I just removed it all together. So I don’t know if it works on the 35 rear axle. Also look at the shock mounts. I just used a set of universal TJ shock mounts from Dynatrac under $18.00.
  19. Any good shop that has had experience with lifts and/or axle swaps should be able to do this if you just take them just the axle. If you leave the old ones on as I did they will know where to place them. What I would do is mock it up so the truck is sitting on the axle and spring perches. Make sure you do this with jack stands and a jack. Do not put the full weight of the truck on there without them being welded. We don’t want you to get hurt. That way you can get a good idea of where your pinion should be. Mark it with some paint or paint pen so when you pull it apart they know where to place them and at what degree. Another way is to go to Sears and pick up a cheap degree finder. Place this on the pinion and tell the shop what degree it needs to be set at. I hope this helps.
  20. Shocks are included in the kit and for $25 more you can upgrade to the Nitros. The kit comes with weld on spring perches for the rear SOA. This is nice since you can set your pinion angle to what ever you need it to be without needing shims. I left the old spring perches on just in case I wanted to go back down or use lift springs later and they don’t get in the way. They say 32” tires with out cutting. We don’t have tire and rims for ours yet. The Rough Country Lift sale ends in December, but I am going to extend the MJ sale for all of you here for as long as they let me. I am doing this because I love the Comanche and everyone here is some one I hope to wheel with someday. Although I don’t see it lasting much past the beginning of January unless the number of kits going out is high. The rear sits a tad bit high then the front with no weight in it. I like that since as soon as I put anything in the bad it levels out. Sorry I haven’t posted any photos yet. I am in Alaska and it does get dark soon. Not much time to go out and snap a good photo.
  21. I’m sure no here needs me to explain how to install a K&N panel filter. I pulled the old filter out of the MJ, cleaned up the air box and pulled of the small cone shaped funnel that is in the air box in all YJ, XJ, MJ and I bet TJ’s too. It allows more airflow into the airbox that allows the K&N to really do its job. If you have been thinking of getting a K&N air filter now is the time as HPI is having a huge sale on everything from K&N.
  22. The Rough Country lift is on now. We needed to order a set of rear lower shock mounts. Rough Country tells us that the mounts will be included in future kits but if not or you get an older kit we can get the mounts for you also. So far even with out the rear shocks it is not bad at all, a bit bounce in the rear. We just did a 4” Rough Country TJ lift and that was incredibly flexy on the trail. Right now is the best time to buy with the truck build we are having a sale on the lifts. 3” $199.75 4.5” $420.75 6” $845.75 Plus drop shipping from Tennessee. I will post how the truck does as time goes on.
  23. Rough Country has a 4-4.5" kit. The rear is SOA though still fine for our dd.
  24. Rough Country was having problems finding some one to give good feedback on their MJ kits. They don’t sale many MJ lifts. Face it there aren’t many of us out there compared to the Comanche cousins. We are a dealer for Rough Country and currently testing their 4.5” lift on our shop truck and it was pretty complete and retails for a nice price. The 3” Kit includes front coil springs, 4 Heckethorn 8000 series shocks, and rear add-a-leafs. Should take you 4-6 hours to install, faster if you are use to the MJ/XJ front ends. If you need any more info on it or looking to get one let me know. If you have one and think you are missing something I will help you get it.
  25. Here are a front and rear bumpers we did. The rear silver was my first MJ and now sits will a blown 2.5L
