  1. Good luck finding stub shafts. I've been searching as well. Another option is to cut the ears off a 4wd shaft and use it.
  2. Informative link: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1032731 Looks like re-drilling the rotors is unnecessary using 2000 XJ unit bearings and Crown Vic rotors.
  3. I'd prefer to buy a new set of unit bearings, but it doesn't look like Rock Auto offers them with a stub shaft. I'm thinking I'm going to have to source them from a JY.
  4. That's part of the plan but I figured since I have to replace everything anyways, why not upgrade?
  5. Finally purchased an MJ (89 2wd 4.0 5spd and rust free!) but it has a few issues I need to take care of. The first being front brakes and steering. Since my plan is to replace calipers/rotors I'm thinking I might as well upgrade to a WJ setup. Searching both here and NAXJA hasn't netted anything definitive so I'm going to throw out what I *think* is the right recipe: WJ knuckles, calipers/rotors/pads, unit bearings (with stub shaft), and lower ball joints. I know I will either have to re-drill the rotors to 5x4.5 or use 5x5 wheels. I'm leaning towards buying 5x5 JK wheels and getting a spacer for the rear which would take care of any clearance issues with the bigger brakes. Does all this sound right? Also, for steering, just upgrade everything to WJ items? Or is it ZJ? Am I missing anything? *edit* I'd like to order new unit bearings but it doesn't look like they have a 2wd option on Rockauto as none appear to come with a stub shaft. Can't find a separate stub shaft on Rockauto either. Weird.
  6. And gross. I don't get it. Nice truck but the plastic male genitalia ruins it for me. It's like a picture of a hot chick with some dude standing next to her with his junk hanging out. Ruins it.
  7. Yes, but will require some modifications. There are right-ups on the procedure.
  8. I've been watching them for a while now on eBay. They seem to be very popular right now. $200+ when the have all the bits and pieces (injectors,TB, etc.)
  9. Don't forget the topcoat. http://www.por15.com/CHASSIS-COAT-BLACK ... tinfo/CHG/
  10. Re-clocking it is another option.
  11. I emailed Archer Bros. for any background info they could provide. I asked if the VIN's were recorded somehow. I also asked if they had any of the body kits left. edit: Pics of #24:
  12. Your build looks good/clean. It's just unfortunate another one of these ultra-rare Comanche's bites the dust.
  13. Was this the Street Comanche? If so, can you post up pics of the number plate or whatever it was that they used to number these things? Do you still have the body kit?
  14. @James Thanks for the post. Happen to have any pictures of the dash plate with the build number on it? Do you still have the body kit?
  15. I'd love to find one. Not much from google other then some info from a guy that owns one:
  16. Anyone here own one or have info on them? Not much out there that I can find other then that they are rarer then hen's teeth.
  17. Thanks for the quick replies! That's what I kinda figured.
  18. Howdy all! 1st post for me. I'm looking into getting a Comanche but I'd like to know what the bed measurements are. Mainly, will a piece of 4x8 plywood fit in the bed? I tried the search function and came up empty handed. How much longer is a long bed vs. a short bed?
