  2. Nothing wrong with being single!
  3. 😂 It'll keep me from getting screwed over in a divorce or being miserable in a loveless marriage. Plus more money for jeep parts 😁
  4. Thank you!
  5. single for life! lol :)
  6. Hey there's a few on marketplace that look pretty nice 😅
  7. exactly why i said they probably won't be making one now i just need to find a clean MJ up here in Michigan or travel down south to find a nice one.
  8. That's definitely true. Sticks out like a sore thumb 😅
  9. This is what I'm hoping they have in a few years but I know they probably won't.
  10. That's probably my only complaint about my jk8. It'd be nice if the bed was a foot or two longer but I understand why jeep didn't do that the cost to do it right would have been crazy expensive since to have the JK8 conversion done at the dealerships was already around $10,000 back when they were new.
  11. It'd a wrap! I planned on having the truck painted a different color in a few years and after buying a black hood and black half doors I didn't want to spend the money painting them white. So I found a place locally that did the whole jeep with 2 sets of doors for around $1500. I always wear tie dye so I figured why not 😂
  12. I also wished the new gladiator was a single cab. I've never been a fan of double cabs.
  13. Well its been a year or two since I sold my 1988 Comanche to buy a 2012 JK-8. Always loved the JK-8 kits when I was in high school and they were new. I was lucky enough that the local Jeep dealership got one in as a trade in. The dealership had it priced significantly cheaper than any other one I could find in the country so I knew if I was ever going to get one this was my chance. ended up getting it for a great price but it did need a few small things like better shocks and new tires. well one thing lead to another and after countless upgrades I'm currently waiting on a set of Fusion4x4 one ton axles for it. once I get the axle swap completed I plan to buy another Comanche as a daily driver.
  14. looking for a relatively clean short bed in Michigan. my beds pretty bad and i could really use a clean one. just got done painting the front of my comanche would like to find a clean bed get it painted and have it ready for the winter!
  15. Any color works preferably little to no rust. Located in mid Michigan but willing to travel for the right deal!
  16. Thank you! I'll be sure to keep updating on the progress. Hopefully it is one of the easy issues. I'll have to pull all the fuses and check out if they're all good or not. Been waiting years to "become one" with a Comanche so I'm just glad to have one regardless of it's issues!
  17. Brakes are a little soft wasn't sure if they have air in the lines or what. Thank you! I was really happy when he told me I could have the topper for it. Just need to find a better way to secure it PO had it secured with c clamps.
  18. I'll have to search the forums for that owners manual. PO did change the plugs/filter and most of the fluids except the coolant which I'll probably flush! Drove it 2 hours back home and besides the slight missing it ran/drive very well. I'll have to try and track down a welder since I don't have one. Luckily for me the PO replaced both sides of the floor pans already so I shouldn't have to worry about them for a long time!
  19. After years and years (about 7) I finally found a cheap Comanche that isn't a complete rust bucket here in Michigan. With that being said it does have some small issues but overall I'm very happy with my purchase. It's an 88 Olympic edition with 91k original miles 4.0L 2wd with a 5 speed manual transmission. It's missing a few of the things that make the Olympic edition special such as the stripping and emblems but in time hopefully I'll be able to track down the emblems and some decals. There is one issue I noticed while driving it home it does have a slight miss between 55-65 but seems to go away at 70+ does anyone know what this could be? I was thinking maybe the distributor/plug wires? Any thoughts? Reverse seems to be slow and takes a decent amount of gas to get it going is this normal? It's the first manual I've owned so not sure if that's just how these older Comanches are or what. The wiper blades don't seem to work any ideas on what it could be? Fuse maybe? Also the bed has the only major spot of rust was wonder if anyone has an idea of what the best/cheapest way to repair it would be. Doesn't need to look great just so no water comes through it. Hoping to have it running 100% by next weekend so I can start daily driving it.
  20. I'll be in Arkansas the beginning of next month and there's a jeep comanche in Dallas I'm very interested in. itd be great if someone could look at it for me so i could give the guy a down payment on it so it doesn't sell before i get down there. its a 1988 Olympic edition that looks like its in great shape. I've been looking for a comanche for 6 years now and haven't had much luck finding a clean one in Michigan. Would love to find one from Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana or Oklahoma since the body should be in a lot better shape.
  21. i messaged him hoping his price would be around $3,000-$3500 but was shocked when he said $10,500. maybe in a few months ill message him again since hes a dealer and won't want it just sitting in his lot.
