  1. Same, I just mounted 30x9.50sx15 on stock jeep wheels with no trimming required on my MJ.
  2. I have some, along with all the arm rests, window pieces and all. These are it.
  3. I have a whole interior from an 86 comanche in gray. I have the factory seat belts but not the brackets for the seats. I have the pictures on my phone and I'm in VA beach so maybe we can meet half way. Text me for the pictures. 757-717-88onethree
  4. yeah well I just got fined about 10k so my savings just went to -2800$
  5. Well. Its definitely for sale now. I accidentally hit an underground natural gas line and just got fined about $10,000. Its going in the for sale section now.
  6. $1800 huh, what does it look like as far as rust? Very little surface rust around the driver door. Floorboards are in good shape. But no MAJOR spots.
  7. Seriously, I would LIKE at least $1800 or maybe an AR15 or some kind of rifle. Maybe a nice handgun plus cash.
  8. I don't have $5k in it. I only have about $1000 invested total. The $5000 was what the guy I bought it from was asking. I'm not looking to get $5K unless it was fully restored to showroom quality which its not even close. If someone shot me a good offer, I don't know I might take it.
  9. Like I said I don't know how much its truely worth. I traded my truck for it, so the only money I have invested is the work i've done on the motor and all the parts I've had to fix. But I did get it about 1.5 years ago and it was in even worse condition I understand that. I'm not comfortable making any offer knowing what you have into it... I feel that i've already thrown insult by telling you what it's not worth. I've been dealing with these since I started with comanches (my dad's diesel is the first i've ever seen), I know them very well...and I can tell you you probably will fetch a higher dollar amount from someone who doesn't know the vehicles and thinks "I like jeeps, it's a diesel, cool...$$$". they as i'm sure you know will be sadly disapointed with their expectations. they're neat jeeps, can be reliable if maintained, are extremely rare, but have no collector's value right now. -Pat In no way am I dissapointed or insulted. I didn't know how much it was worth when I got it but I didn't pay any cash for it. It was a trade and I drove it home that day. So i was excited that I had a diesel MJ that I didn't care how much it costs. I just really wanted one. But thats why i posted in the pub first. I didn't know if it was worth storing for a couple years or let someone else take care of it and help this poor old truck.

  11. here's some pics. Its pretty dirty I know, I took the tarp off last week and didn't put it back on so its dirty.
  12. Shoot me a PM with a price. I'm not sure how much its worth. I paid $5000 for it. Well I actually traded my M35A2 Deuce and half for it. But It was about an equal trade. Clean title. Ready to be taken away. It runs and drives, just needs new tires and windshield. Will post a picture of current condition shortly.
  13. Well it is taking up space, and my roomates are mad but I can deal with them, a 12 pack appearing in their fridge shuts them up. But winter is the only time I slow down and I don't really have the space to repair it in my lonely one car garage. My ATV is in there now because I'm restoring it and getting it ready for hunting season. I'd love to get the MJ fixed up but I could use the money and the space. Plus its just collecting rust on its perfect RUST-FREE body. This was before I started on it. See the MJ in the back? This is where its at now after being painted, just waiting on parts to put it all back together.
  14. Well times are tough and as a small business owner I can't find the time to restore this great truck. I am working 8 days a week a full 32 hours a day. I don't even have the time to drive the poor truck that has been sitting in my sideyard for 4 months now. It only gets run on the weekends and doesn't drive more than 40 feet to the driveway to be washed. Right now it needs a new windshield, damn storm decided to miss everything in my yard except that one branch that had to crack it. It also needs new tires and rims, as the spare is on one and the back tire is bubbled. I already have another comanche in the shop getting a full restoration along with a 350 SBC and 40" tires with lots of goodies. And my DD XJ isn't getting anything soon with 357K on the odometer. So my question is do I sell it or not? Should I keep it and hope this economy recovers in the next 5 years so I can finally stop working two jobs? Or should I let it go to a good home now for someone to let this rare truck live a great life? It only has 150K ORIGINAL everything, excluding a couple small things I've done, like a truck box, roof running lights, and second battery. And if I were to sell it, how much should I expect to get for it in current condition.? Thanks. These are the pics when I bought it but its pretty much the same other than the things I listed.
  15. Hey if its a job, I'll take it. Haha. Whats the closest area to Castle Rock on Craigslist? I have a lot of friends in that area and family in Colorado Springs and I've been trying to find a job close by. I was an auto mechanic for a couple years, I've been doing Geothermal Loop systems, wells, sprinklers, and natural gas fushion. I figured that for the many skills I have I could find something to do.
  16. Well the cost of living here is rediculous, to get a 1 bedroom apartment in an area you won't get shot is around $1200 a month plus utilities. But I can deal with any job really just to get started.
  17. I live in Virginia but I've been thinking of moving to Colorado, around the CO springs/Castle Rock area. I was wondering what the wheeling was like out there and any good places to live cheap and work. VA has too many laws and not enough job oppurtunities. I'm in construction and the job market is kind of slow. I have family and friends out there to help me get started but I would definitly like to move out there permantly. I guess I'm just asking is it worth leaving here?
  18. Yes this fit, this is my 350 tbi in my 86 MJ
  19. The belt is original I'm guessing, I have all the paperwork from the orginal owner and the 2nd, (I'm the third!!) and nothing says a timing belt replacement, but it only has 120K on it. The belt is in OK shape but as for now the MJ sits in the side yard and only gets run on the weekend. I have antique tags on it but I don't drive it around because of the notorious bad drivers in this area. Thanks for the help guys.
  20. I'm working on restoring my 86 Turbo Diesel and I'm having a very tough time finding parts for the motor. I know its a renault 2.1 but I can't seem to match any parts from the same year(s) renault put that motor in their cars. I really need a timing belt, and a new vacumn pump gasket. If anyone knows where I can find parts for my MJ, I'd appreciate it.
  21. The timing belt is gonna be replaced within the next week. And I matched the air filter to something out of a truck and had to modify it a little but it worked, but yes my truck has cruise, AC/heat and all electric windows and locks. I had to retrofit the AC to work with R134 though. I'm gonna do that when I get the timing belt changed. Does anyone know where to get the belt at? And the truck only has 146,xxx miles.
  22. Ok so I've pretty much redone all the crappy wiring that was in the truck and I've been driving it for the past month. But everything I need something for the motor, NO place has anything. So my question is, what kind of motor is in this truck?!?! I know plenty of car parts dealers, and mechanics and none can put thier finger on it. Also if anyone has a TD MJ can you post a picture of what your throttle linkage looks like under the hood? My cruise cable popped off and I have no idea what it looks like. THanks guys.
  23. I drill wells and geothermal loops. I also charter my 35' boat which I live on. Very cheap lifestyle with lots of cash.

    diesel ?

I had to put 3 new oil hoses on my turbo MJ and it cost me over $300 just to have 3 oil hoses made because no one carries them.
  25. Luckily the old shop where I used to work, the owner knows where to get all the parts and has worked on them before. And diesel here is only about $2.59 a gallon. Gas is $2.39. Then again, I do live in a port city
