I had to replace the slave cylinder and i did it in my driveway just with some jack stands and a tranny jack and if u have a good mechanics tool set u should be good

My stock 87 has 141,000 and its still on stock motor , tranny and axles

I don't think its anything in the front cause the sound is coming from under or right behind the cab and then when i looked under i saw the rear drive shaft coming out of the transfercase/tranmission with fluid all over and it is right in the area where i have been hearing the noise

Yeah I'm gonna check it all out sunday and nah its 4 wheel just tranny came to my mind first instead of saying transfer case

ok i looked under my truck and theres fluid all over where my driveshaft goes into the back of the tranny. It looks like it could be lose and could be what is making the noise but on sunday I'm gonna put it on stands and let it run and see

yes i have looked under the truck and can't see anything hitting and neither can my dad and it could be that cable but the noise is so loud my friend in the car behind me could hear it so it must be something hitting hard

Yeah I'm gonna check that too maybe when my old clutch went and fluid was leaking threw where the tranny mounts to the motor it could of done somthing to it

Well my exhaust has been replace since the original one rotted out making the exhaust break in half but that could be bouncing around. As for the u joints i replaced all of them when i put my new clutch which was less then a year ago so i think they should be good but I'm gonna check the motor mounts and exhaust to see if something is rubbing

Hey guys i have had this problem before when i start to acclerate in second gear i hear this bad knocking noiser between my cab and bed but under the truck. It sounds like my drive shaft or a cable bouncing around and hitting the under body. I'm not even sure if it is hitting my under body but it just sounds like something sping and banging around or something. Does anybody know what it is or can give some ideas cause i have no clue

My dad bought it new back in 87 and now it has be passed down to me as my first car . She is all stock and i kinda want to keep it that way just because i grew up with the truck and lifting it and stuff would just ruin the connection i have with it. I will have more picks up soon thats the only pic i have on my new laptop till i transfer pics
