Yeah, he is tiny. And his owner didn't seem too upset about his escaping....he told me he gets out on occasion through a hole in the fence in his back yard. They are a younger couple, just moved in about 6 months ago. I watched a similar sized dog from the (old) neighbors up the street from me get squashed by a car right in front of my driveway a couple summers ago. It was not pleasant.

What about a KL? Earlier models "should" be coming down in price some. I'm thinking I'll be trading in my KJ on one some day (not anytime soon though). It's funny, when KJ's first came out I swore I'd never drive one, let alone own one. Well, here we are now LOL. I said the same thing about the KL's too, but the more I see them the more I'm starting to like them.

So this just wandered into my garage this morning while I was out working on the house. Thankfully the owner had his phone number on the collar tag ( he lives in the same neighborhood). Its 105 degrees here today, little guy had no business being out walking the streets in the 'hood. My cats would have eaten him as a snack, lol. Say hello to Mr. Reese

Ralph (the one sleeping on the bay window) is truly feral. He's a farm cat we got from my wife's aunt/uncle up in rural PA. The other 2 orange ones came from a rescue shelter down here in VA. They're all a bit "special" in their own way, lol. Three completely different personalities. But they all get along just fine, which is all that counts.

Oh, if I could only train ONE of these lazy @$$ cats to do that, I'd be in heaven. Ever try training a cat to do.....anything? :)

Big cat, lol. Looks just like out Abner (short for abbey-normal he's polydactyl on all four feet....cat is nothing but huge feet). He's the one all balled up on the chair, you really can't tell how big he is from the pic. 19 lbs the last time we weighed him. I think Fat Cat has him by a few lbs though.

Olive looks so cool. Those blue eyes too I might have posted pics before, but here's our (inside) brood. 3 guys, they all get along like sausage gravy and biscuits, for the most part. Doing what they do best, lol. It's 100 degrees here today....we're all doing the same thing.

We sort of adopted a stray outside cat. If she wasn't a she, she would already have been brought inside the house, but we've had bad luck with female cats in the past (bad temperament and fighting with our other cats). So she stays outside, mostly in our garage. Anyways, she follows me around everywhere I go when I'm outside. It's really cute, she's just like a little dog. Ill grab a pic of her when I go feed her "breakfast" here in a little bit. She sits in front of the garage door every morning until I come down (usually to leave for work).

A 2001 Ford Focus ZTS (tan in color) that didn't drip a spot of oil from somewhere on the back upper right side of the engine every night when parked. But seriously, I'd like to own another TJ at some point. Just for putting around in, with the top/doors off.....not as a DD.

Ya know, as I was driving out of the dealership parking lot, I remembered where you worked at I do need to run (back) to HF and pick up the tool. I was just there and bought a cutoff tool and some discs. The cashier said they were going to be e-mailing out a new coupon later this week, for $25 off anything in the store (no exclusions). I need to pick up a low profile trolley jack that will fit under the Focus...

I almost went and bought one of those tools, still might just to have. Dealership had the plastic rivets, and they were quite proud of them....3.60/each. And I needed 8 of them. The generic Christmas tree ones don't work quite right, as these fasteners hold the inner fenders to the flares. My $20 junkyard towhooks have now become $50 ones
-
The tricky part is to undo the zillions of little plastic fasteners without destroying them. As it was, the plastic rivets inside the fender wells are one-time use and you can't get them out without mangling them. I bought some cheap plastic push rivets at lowes to replace them temporarily but I'm going to run down to the dealership today to see if I can get correct OEM ones. I learned a trick to popping the fender flare fasteners though.

An audiophile I am not. Heck, I listen to AM talk radio. But good on ya for figuring that all out. I finally got my tow hooks installed yesterday on my KJ. There is NO good reason to have to pull the entire front clip for that job. I realized once I got the whole front end reinstalled that I forgot to put those stupid little metal "cups" that bolt into the front crossmember back on. Oh well, I'm not pulling it all back apart just to put them in. Nope. No way.

Initially, I was thinking that thing isn't too bad. Then I zoomed the pic and started looking at things a bit more. Yikes.

At least they took the time to hook up the safety chains. Lol. peole like that deserve to wreck, without hurting anyone else.

I grew up on the family farm that my grandfather bought and built. To this day I can still remember him getting stung by wasps and hornets (usually up on a ladder against an outbuilding) multiple times. He would just swear a lot, grab the offending insect and squish it in his hand, then carry on with what he was doing. I get one little bug bite and I'm down for the count, lol. We didn't call them the greatest generation for no reason.

Well, vacation is nearing the end. I did manage to get most of my project list done though. Despite the wasp attack on my hand, I got the garage door header and casing painted, all of the front porch, side door and back door trim painted, the deck power washed and restrained (mostly, still working on that). One of the front porch posts had a bit of rot at the bottom so I had to cut that out and scab a new piece of lumber in, then putty/sand/blend it in before painting. I also farmed out the house power washing to a guy I've used before. He'll be here on the 20th and I will happily give him $125 to wash the whole house plus the shed out back I did manage to get the tow hooks installed on the KJ too. That whole job is unnecessarily complicated, involving removing the entire front clip. There's no reason it should be THAT difficult....

Nice job. I jam a stick in the hole (or close to it)to the nest as a location device. Later in the evening I pull the stick out and give them a gasoline dinner. Not the most ecological solution, but it works. I also napalm-ed the corner of my garage header yesterday, haven't seen a wasp since. I went to the range yesterday morning to break in my wife's 9mm....it was interesting trying to shoot with a grapefruit for a left (support) hand. Let's just say it wasn't my best day shooting
