    Just picked up an 89 manche for my son had some rust problems brake lines gas lines etc. when we got it the gas tank had gotten holes due to rust and was already out of the truck got a new tank and straps but I can find the straps that go on the bed just the ones that go around the bottom from what ive found they arent available? should I just go ahead and make some? if so anybody give me a length to start with or know where to buy them? thanks for any help!! aaron

    Its about 3 1/2 hour drive for us but its worth it,not much of a place for quads except for the race track but a ton of fun in the jeep!! Hour and 15min for me, so basically in my backyard. I've had my quad all over, the rocky trails are a little tough on my 2wd sport quad but I like the challenge, definitely wear me out. Shoot me a PM if you plan any return trips. will do,hopefully sometime in oct we`ll head back down there

    I know :D especially after labor day I realized there too small I`l lookin to trade for biggers ones if anybody is interested?But with 6 kids and no budget I had these from when I had my buggies so thats what I`m usin for now

    The eaton was junk took the cover off and gears were broke,It has a 14 sf and d44 out of a 3/4 ton chevy but I just picked up a d60 and 14ff last month that will go in this winter

    It runs finally after sitting 2 years or longer and working on it when I can it is up and running!! Taking it out this weekend to wa$#!&a offroad park in MO and see how it goes can't wait its only been in my garage for 2 1/2 years

    here's a few pics of my 231/d300 doubler I built for the comanche got the kit from madrooster of pirate4x4.com Measure where to cut the front output off Image Not Found comes right off with a sawzall then I used a 3/8 by 1 1/2 piece of aluminum that needs to be tig welded where you cut it off then use a ton of silicone and mount them together and install them in the truck Image Not Found all thats left is to build a set of triple stick shifters and its ready to go! aaron

    I was just wondering that too. Looks like those shocks need to be angled in just a little bit to allow better tire clearance. Yeah Its close to the shock! I am pondering stopping uptravel there or move the shock in at an angle to eliminate that problem. aaron

    Thanks for the compliment :cheers: Its my first truck build built a few buggies pretty much the same>Thats the only way to use boggers is CUT.Not a problem tryin to help out I should have it out in a week or so but if you could get it picked up sooner I`ll get it out. aaron

    The jacks stands are more stable than they look but I`m still not gettin under there. here's a few pics of the front done and at ride height. also picked this up for free the other day an eaton rear ff out of a 65 pickup with 456 gears so it will be going in the back.

    Got a few updates to show,got the 14 bolt almost done and the d44 ready to run my links to in the front also picked a D300 for $150 so I can use the front chevy axle and plan on twinsticking it

    here's some pics of my manche picked it up a few months ago lots of rust!!So now its more of a truggy,gonna be 4 link front soon!!Rear is done 4.0 ho planning on putting in a d300 dana44 front 14 bolt rear and LET IT EAT :cheers:

    We just installed that on my brothers jeep what a piece of $#!& kit!!You will definitely want better upper control arms than the stamped stock ones.And they are not kidding about the 8-10 hours to install :mad:He bought new leafs in the back I would definitely recommend that add a leafs are junk but thats another $200 on top of that price but well worth it!! aaron

    Yeah I know I have a 14 bolt for the rear and looking for something for the front as well?Have a d44 from a chevy need one from a ford if anybody has one close and wants to trade or sell? aaron
