Are you guys able to prevent rust on your rigs or do you guys have to continuously have to replace floorboards? I am curious what you guys do to prevent rust? My MJ motorhome has some surface rust underneath. However I know that this is going to get used at the coast a lot and I want to keep this thing in tact for years to come. http://comancheclub.com/topic/36044-the-campmanche/

Its been too wet to get underneath it. But it wasn't too wet to go rv'ing. A couple friends and I took it for a trip. The best guess for mpg before filling it back up is around 12-13mpg. The route that we went had many steep grades on a two lane highway. Many of the grades I was able to kick it out of overdrive and go 50-45 on other steeper ones I had to go down another gear to go 50-60. there were two where I really had to get into it to make it at a reasonable speed. I might look into gearing it a little lower because I don't plan on going 80 with it. We camped last night at the Warrenton KOA, which is 10 miles southwest of Astoria OR ( where the Goonies was Filmed). We were greeted by thunderstorms, hail a little bigger then a pea coming down in sheets. After a couple hours in the game room we got a break in the weather and made a fire and made dinner. The trip was fun found a water leak on the driver side from an old repair that I will have to fix soon. I think that the gas mileage and power will get better after I fix the massive crack in the exhaust manifold. anyways on to what you guys really want, pictures.

Title says it all I'm in wa and will gladly pay shipping

Let me know if there are any specific pictures you guys want

Going through the paperwork I know that it was purchased in Portland Or. And in 1997 the CD player cost them over $425. Originally it had sheep skin seat covers. I'm going to buy some seat covers soon. I'm pulling the wheels off today ill get more underside pictures then.
-
It has all the original paperwork including a 1991 chitons that doesn't have a single grease stain

The furnace is auto start it has a roof mount ac/heater, oven and cook top are propane, all work. Fridge works on 112 and 12 volt, propane is testing over night I will test the propane water heater tomorrow. While monkeying withe the back of the fridge I managed to singe all of the hair on my face.
-
Ok hear are some random pics of the underside ill get some more tomorrow when I have the wheels off. Also the rear axle is an 8 lug full float dually 60. I like that both of my MHD have full float 60's and no pick up beds.

Ill get a bunch more up when I get a chance

So I haven't been around in a while thought i'd give you an update. I now have the thing light up like a christmas tree. Lightforces, hid's rock lights and reverse lights. It has new shoes New 39.5 Irocks. After spending a lot of time tinkering with the radius arms I am doing away with them in the next month or two I will be installing the Clayton 3 link kit that is sitting in my garage. The front now has a spartan. I have 5.38 gears for the front, just waiting on funding for the rear gears.... 4.10's and 40's sucks..... Oh and I just dropped in a new motor too. 4.0 with 2k on a rebuild.

Well I took some time and went back to the drawing board, and Ive been busy as of late. I moved into a place with a big heated garage. I'm finally back to work on my jeep. Here's a brief rundown of what I've done since I last posted on here. First of all I got late model fenders to match the clip because It's gonna be a while before I do the tube work up front. Then I cut the ford radius arm mounts off my crossmember Then i cut about a foot off my radius arms and notched it to fit some dom fitted with tube adapters and ballistic style joints on the ends. I made up mounts for the joints to mount on the crossmember, welded them up and have the tacked in place, welding them up tomorrow. pushed my front axle 1.6" forward to 114.5 for clearance between my track bar and oil pan.

Yeah ell when I get stuck i don't mess around, my unibody is still in tact!!!! -
What is your reason for wanting a metric ton modle. the only reason I could think of is the dana 44.
-
this country is full of p*ssies these days. I can't stand it. People are offended by the dumbest crap and the new craze is twilight and vampires. Really??? With that being said Ben loves vampires and edward from twilight. He should never be a mod here. I should be one over him and I don't even own a comanche. I miss darren. Its so sad he is banned. :( First of all I am not part of team edward, second how are the tri cities? I miss you Eric. :ack: I am glad that darren was banned. I think that it will help teach us all a valuable lesson to be nicer to each other, and make sure that it is obvious when we are joking. So don't forget your smileys. :USAflag: :Canadaflag:   :wall: :wall: :needpics: :jump: :( :redX: :redX: :redX: :wrench: :wrench: :wrench: :bs: :agree: :hijack:
