CHECK the wheel bearing assembly . evfen a lil play makes noise. I know me frt brg is bad and when i make a corner it really talkes to me !

Ok found the Smoking wire problem . the ignition switch under the collum. there is a 10 guage brown wire that someone had repaired with a cripmed terminal . I looked at the switch and I noticed blueing on that same terminal . I opened up the switch and the bad conection caused it to melt into the plastic housing . giving it to much resistance I assume . replace the switch and It's fixed now ! woot . :thumbsup: :banana:

I need help .On my 88 XJ. Everything was fine till the other day I go to start the jeep and nothing. As i held the key in the start position the 2 brown wires on the NSS started smoking ! I have tried a new starter relay, unhooking the starter. and still smokes the wires. i have removed the NSS and and jumped the 2 brown wires, same thing . I will try changing the ignition switch tomarrow .The diagrams I have on it do not show everything. so I can not find the problem. Any one else had the problem ? :help: :ack: :wall:

to jtdesigns. check local festener shops. we have a place called **fastenall** you can get alot of good stuff from them . also for crome and ss check marine and motor cycle shops. for stock stuff i worked at NAPA for 22 years and they have alot of stuff in the balkamp book interior, exterior, small ss stuff. for like trim and lights. hope I helped some.

Hey is there any way we can get a general photo page. kind of like when you google serch for pics of comanches you get a whole page. then you click to see more of that 1 truck . or make it bigger. I would love to browes all the trucks in here but ! wow that would take a while . :ack:

For the O-rings you do not need to go to the Stealership. when I worked for NAPA I bought a kit for this problem. it's like a 3 pc o-ring kit . i call and get the felpro# for you guys

I am replacing a head for a guy on an 86 toy. problem is . Someone else already tried. SO needless to say missing parts here and there and no vacuum diagram. I am looking to pick some good picks of the engine bay to see were all the darn vac lines go to . I have not found anything good pics on the net yet nor any complete in the local junk yard. HELP :wall:

Is something maybe on what someone had use as a doaner truck . maybe like the drive train form an S10 or some thing. I tried looking in the serch for V8 swap . but nothing really had complete details . But a stock 1990 4.0 has 173 hp and a stock v8 chevy Is really not that much more. So I will just build up the 4.0 i have .

Ok thank you . I really wannted to make a 4x4 . I have a 2wd here now I can v8. but not sure what I wanna do yet . I have motor mounts for a v8 chevy for the jeep .

Guys ,I would like to get info on putting a v8 chevy in mine !!!! anyone and everyone who has info on a build up please drop me a line. my motor is shot. so now is the time to decide.
