Yeah I have a parts 89 XJ in my yard right now. it was to dark to really look at anything but I will pull that cover off tomarrow and see whats up. and I just found a parts list from the owner stating everything he has done to it. and what all it should have on it . Ill take better pics tomarrow too .

well I bought an 89 cherokee today . The guy wanted 900 but i got it for 700. here is what it has. It is a 1989 cherokee 4 door 4x4, AT trans, slip yoke elemenater ,Rino lined inside and out. front and rear custome bumpers. front is a winch type with full grill and light guards, rear is a swing out tire carrier, Con-fer roof rack. Safari snorkle( missing the intake hook up ) high pionon dana up front and a rear 44, both I'm told are locked. but front making grinding noise,. So hopefuly it is lock front and rear . roll cage, rock sliders. there is a winch with it . but no cable ( working or not unknown) found paper work for a motor rebuild in 97 . 40 over with a RV cam . It does run and sound strong .also the is a lock rite locker sticker in the glove box. Also there were in the jeep OEM repair manuals. 3 of them . I think I made out really well on this deal ( about time ) here is a link to the picks. sorry they are dark but It was dark when we got home a few hrs ago.

Yeah sorry . getting old I forgot to post it the other day .. This was a check book holder he had made. I had him cut it so I could put cc cards in it too. normaly a wallet made this way will have more slots for c cards and pictures and what not . He is making me a LUCKY 13 bi-fold for my brother. I will post that one as well. It will be alot better for seeing the work he can do . thank guys

the Cherokee is the same as the MJ it is a bearing unit . 1 pc. should be able to pull the complete axl out and drive it with no axles at all if need be ?

Ok guys I'm going to go look at a jeep 1989 cherokee 2.5 hrs away . the guy says the jeep runs and drives BUT the front makes a grinding sound. He tells me it has a front locker.(type unknown) So here is the question. If I wanted to drive it home. is it simple to remove the front locker if I had too ? my ideas were to take out the axles or the locker pending on the problem. he says it makes a Grinding sound. Heck could even be just a shot brg assembly. this jeep has rebuilt motor front and rear lockers, confer roof rack front and rear custome bumpers 2 in lift , full cage and a snorkle for 900 bucks !

1) What are the stock options that came in the MJ,XJ rearends for traction control? 2) are any of them worth having? My MJ will be used every day 90% of the time street. So are any on the STOCK Options worth having .
