  1. Why does my 88 XJ have the unused wiper harness, like the pic shown, but I don't have the fog/defroster wire harness present??
  2. You got it man. Now i WILL do it. It may be a few weeks, but Ill def. post em up in a new thread.
  3. Awesome thanks. I may even do a write up with pics....
  4. This clarifies! And Ill just remove the one that is there now before adding the diffuser? Thanks man.
  5. What is this? Is this the long duct for the rear seats? I didnt get that, since I don't have rear passengers. If I am wrong, does anyone have a pic? Or how do I remove this, since I need to go back to the yard monday for a new console lid anyways... Thanks for any help. And this is an XJ console for an XJ, dunno if MJ has different duct work or not... Any help is great!
  6. Thanks Pete. I'm gonna investigate on monday anyways, for some other items figured id ask here first, since leather in am MJ seemed odd. What part of SE michigan?? I'm from Livonia.
  7. What (if any) MJ trim levels came with Leather? I vaguely remember hearing that the Eliminator had Leather option (black) My buddy was at a local wreckers yesterday and he claims that there is an MJ SporTruck (not 100% sure on trim) but he said it has tan leather buckets? Was that even an option? Or are we looking at a PO swap? Thanks!
  8. Anyone here seen these Commercials on Youtube?? Just thought Id put them here in case you havent. I thought they were pretty cool! http://youtube.com/watch?v=x2EkpGTwVVI&feature=related
  9. Take pics of the "office", since you said your taking your camera. :brows:
  10. Upon further inspection, there is a large hole where the screw is lying in, and wrapping it with anything is worthless. I am just going to find a new lid at the JY. Thanks for everyones help.
  11. Yes I grabbed the brackets. I think I'm just going to line up the console, and drill the holes from there, since the console will be in the correct spot. And yes most XJ's had consoles, but of course mine doesnt. Does anyone have the loose lid like I do? The screws that go into the armrest are stripped and loose. What do you do to fix it?
  12. You mean making a "clone?" Or how much money would it take to buy an eliminator??
  13. Anyone have a loose console hinge at the lid? The screws seem loose even though they are in there all the way....
  14. Nah turns out I'm still good.
  15. Ya don't post pics like that without forewarning, because I'm getting fired from work now.
  16. Superwade, your MJ is beautiful BTW, but you already knew that. And ya JF isnt a terrible site, its pretty civilized in the XJ tech, but thats about it. Thanks for the welcome's guys.
  17. Well, what i thought of doing, is place the console where its supposed to go, line up the holes with the brackets, and drill the holes there, if worst comes to worst... Another question, how do I tighten the hinge to the lid of the console? Mine is all squirrly. Anyone use any adhesive or anything for that??
  18. Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm suprised I havent been flamed or banned yet for having an XJ, so thats always good.
  19. I had the long sunvisors in my 88 xj, and since I added an overhead console, the visors were too long. I picked up some new visors today, and was wondering if anyone knows how to drill the ceiling for the new clips, without going through the roof?? Thanks.
  20. Since the Center console is a popular option with the MJ guys, I am sure some could help. I picked up a center console from a 92XJ today for my 88XJ. How do I know where to drill holes for the brackets? Is their some sort of markings from the factory? Thanks.
  21. If you don't have the light, you will first need the bracket that holds the bulb to the outside of the lighter. Once you get the bracket, clip it to the slots around the lighter, and plug it into the vacant plug somewhere in that area.
  22. Hey Guys. Terrific site you have here. I never knew there was so much love for Comanche's. And thats a good thing, as I love em too. I drive an 88 Cherokee Sport 4.0 with 180k, and I know it quite well. I have a couple thousand posts on jeepforum.com, so I know a little bit about the XJ. Most people over there are interested in the HO era, with cutting the fenders off, and throwing the largest set of tires they can find on, but here, most Comanches are Renix, (my language) and it seems most people are looking into keeping them in good shape, and restoring them. And since I am adding some options to my XJ that are popular with the MJ, i thought Ill ask in tech later. Anyways, I'm hoping to learn a little about the MJ, and maybe give back some info, that is if anyone asks about things from the cab forward. :D here's some pics of my XJ, its all original, including the paint. Take care. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
