I need a set or two of the plastic inner fender shields, which bridge the gap between the outer flare and the wheel well of the bed. Surely one of you rock crawlers still have them from when you shaved your wheel opening for tire clearance.
My 87 Comanche Chief project had the same problem caused PO having backed up with door open. I made plates of 1/16 steel and fed them through the hole where hinges mount and held them in place with screws. I pulled the screws one at a time and plug welded. Hinges are available at dealer as a set. I did pull the fenders to get access to tack hinges in place. Door now opens and closes like a Mercedes. While I had fenders off I resealed the cowel seam at windshield corners as the old fire retardant sealer dries out and cracks causing rusty floorboards.
We had a Cherokee in our shop which was involved in a buy back. It would be fine for days and then a load would present itself and drain the battery. Turned out to be a bad ECU. We left it in a stall with an amp meter between the battery and positive lead and kept a watch on it. Once the draw occurred it was just a matter of unplugging things until draw disappeared.
I am looking for a windshield wiper transmission mounting bolt. They are a torx head screw threaded bolts an I am lacking one for my 87 Chief restoration.
I have used factory and Rancho stabilizers on my Comanche since '94 and the OME I just installed is the best. Worth double the price of stock any day IMHO.
