heh, when i first bought mine. me and a buddy who has a 5.0 80 somthing stang raced on what we call the strip. which is basicly a long flat road that no one ever drives on unless they are racing lol. but anyways. the mj was completly stock at the time with the 4.0 only 103k on her. beat him off the line. about half way down he started to pass me. ended up two car lengths infront of me by 1/4 mile. id say she did pretty well. :)

Not to be a fool here but why would you want to chop somthing that looks so damn good lifted. :nuts: you know...lifting isnt everybody's thing. why not show em what it coulda looked like? personaly i like the looks of a dropped manche better then a lifted one. But, I'm not saying i didnt want to lift mine and put 33's under it at one time. and I'm also not saying ive never gotten it stuck in a couple mud pits either :P

nah, its no problem. here is another basic idea of what i want my mj to look like. thats without a bumper. i havnt decided what to do there yet. notice the rear wheel well. :) ive always liked closed wheel wells. so i think I'm gonna try to use it.

Pete, i think you outa set yourself a couple more moderators. i think its only you and eagle right? the forums are getting big enough now that you may need some help. give some people a job to do on the site or somthing. I'm willing to help out for the good of the club. :) just ask if you need somthing done. and i know any of the members would be happy to do it(if its in there power).

ifs isnt a bad idea, i need new rims anyways. and the wheel wells are not a problem. ill have to look into that.

hmm, ok this is kinda a newbie question. but explain a static drop please :P i geuss my only problem right now is how many inches to actualy drop it. like for instance. how much will a 4" block actualy lower the back end of the truck? i should have mentioned this earlier but I'm pretty new to the lowered truck "scene" :P but, its all very interesting to me. so I'm willing to learn all i can.

hmmm, interesting. so what if i use blocks with ladders? or do you even think they are needed? not that I'm gonna torc it much, but its fun to roast em every once and a while :)

BTW, what year rangers are we talking? my mj is a 90, does it matter? I'm sorry i ask so many questions i like learning about these things. :)

oh I'm sorry, i was confused. i was talking about using ranger leaf springs. but its good to know that the coils will work with it. so, houw about ranger leaf springs? will they work ot lower the back or should i build a pack using the mj main leaf and jsut using some softer leafs? EDIT: jsut saw petes post. won't blocks hurt the stability? it seems like they wouldnt lower it much either.

Next question. what to do with the front? how should i drop that? is it safe to cut the springs? what are the pros/cons? or can i use lowering springs from another application?
