Need a TCU for Kona, mine fried! Anyone have a extra one laying around! I got one but it's for a 91 an the plug is different. Mine is a 88.

Got it done and was easy, drilled a hole slightly smaller than the bolt, bolted it right to the body, it is tight! Drilled a hole on the inside or the cab behind b post just big a bought to put a nut thru with a magnetic rod, an wala! Done! Maybe 10 minutes per side.

Got the "new " dash in, new heather core. The doors are in, speaker wired and panels cleaned! Placed the new strikers in and doors close good! I won't fall out! And last ( for today), replaced the factory old washer fluid bottle for the 97+ inside the fender. That's all for today folks!

No help? I think I can figure it out. But since some of you have done it, maybe y'all have better ways to go about it.

So I scored some doors and front clip, so got the door on but obviously need to change the striker, I'm sure some Of you have done this, any pics on how to rig It where is not crappy? I'm thinking drilling and bolts and Nuts, but pics would help me to get a ideas, here's where I'm at with it

Looks like I scored full front clip, hood and both doors out of a 99 xj for $200!!!!!!!!! Me so happy!!!!

So I took apart my dash on my 88 mj to replace the heater core an found a load of mice tracks along with chewed wires and vacuum lines, got it all rewired and done now the question is: there are 2 vacuum line that go along with all the other vacuum lines to the ac/ heater trap doors that where chewed by Mickey, one is black and the other is purple, all others are connected to the actuators that control the ac doors, but this 2 I have no clue where they go since I can't find the other end! They are cluster together with all the other vacuum lines but don't go anywhere! Any idea to where this two got to? They start at The ac control ride along the ac/heater box to the passenger side and then ....???

So is staring to get cold at 4am on my way to work, so bought a new heater core and got to it!, with The bad that the previous owner had a large family of mice living inside the ac/heater, and they had a feast with some wires and vacuum lines! And the feast! So I'll have to rewire the thing and figure out where this vacuums go to, because I can't find the other end! Lol, also the bolts that hold the heather core box to the firewall were all stripped so a few (4 out of 5) had to be cut! So to home depot we Go to find replacements, the box have a few cracks and holes that will need to be repaired, anything else I should do while I'm in this deep?

Yup, I don't have the time or $$, so, a few questions , I had mice eat out wires and vacuum lines, wires is no problem, but, there are 2 vacuum line that seem to go to the heater core or ac box a black and a purple that where eaten my mice and can't find the other end? To where they go? All others are ok and go to the membrane for vacuum to ac controls, but this 2 no clue?

Do I need a new PCM if I do the swap? Took the dash out to replace the heater core but since I'm this dip in figured why not? What about wiring?

Interesting, I'll recheck I guess, but I know I put them in at factory specs and torque, not my first rodeo but sure is my first ticking bull! Lol! Thanks for the tip, I'll do it this weekend and see. Know I just need a xj cluster!

Yeah, no exhaust, sound like it, but comes from inside valve cover, have rebuilt many 4.0's and never had this, it's like she is talking to Me!!! Lol!
