  4. Update, got Kona leveled with 2" pucks up front and clear coated the paint job and tinted my windows, it's driving like a champ! Oh, new wheels and tires as well! :-)
  5. But its the idiot light one!
  6. I have one tif you need it. It's from a colum shifter, with the p n d 3 2-1 under fuel gauge
  7. Ok, after taking a few days off from thinking and tracing what the problem is and going thru 3 tcu's and countless hours or diagnostic and voltage reading got back to it with a fresh mind and began tracing all wires again, this time a finally found it!!! The ground wire that comes out of the big plug next to the dip stick was cut and obviously not connected it was way down but this time I took insulation out and BANG! There it was!! I called that stupid cable every name on the book! I even jumped of joy to find the sucker that had been driving me insane , I knew had to be something stupid, but anyways tranny shifts fine with the ORIGINAL TCU! Son of a b^#*\£! But thank you all so much for the help and guidance to fix my issue! This site rocks!!!
  8. Well, 88, 4x4, auto (colum shift ), 4.0, short bed. 170k
  9. This one
  10. Thought I did
  11. Will post one tomorrow
  12. There is a plug by the dip stick next to the 2 big plugs that is a single plug, 1 prone, where this go to?? Obviously is unplugged and can't find the other end to where the heck it goes to? Wonder if my TCU is not working because this plug?
  13. Well, finally I was able to pull the sending unit out of the tank, the gauge works fine when moving the floater manually, so some pb blast, moved it up and down a few times, placed back in and ......... I HAVE A WORKING FUEL GAUGE!!!! Yeepeeeee!!!!!! Thanks y'all for the advices!
  14. Well mine kicks in at 210
  15. No, I'm not replacing for a 95, my comments was only that it fits ( the brackets) and yes he has a 140Amp, I don't think is factory., but I am doing renix upgrade eventually.
  16. The gauge went up to normal 210 running temp, the fan comes on at 210(sorry), so it didn't and blew the cap from the reservoir and leaked everywhere, guess it was a coincidence , but it works now so I'll just leave it alone, looks like Kona is very temperamental !

  18. Awesome!!! OIIIIIO
  19. BTW, where or is there a fuse or relay that controls the sending unit?
  20. So I grabbed a alternator out of a 95 xj 140 amp that my buddy bought, other than changing the plug, it went in like a glove!, bad thing is I had to give it back to my buddy ! :-( but know I know that 95xj will fit just fine!!! :-)
  21. Mine is a 88 w/99 clip, all original harness, the cluster is from a 90xj , but like I said its working fine Now that I placed the original sensor back , Sensor is back / driver side of block by the valve cover on top.
  22. Great! Thanks eagle! That's what I was needing the ohms! I'll test that tomorrow!
  23. Well, I took out the temp sensor that I bought and put the factory back in and the gauge works fine an the fan now works and comes On right at 190•, without loosing all my coolant, so I guess they might be related somehow !? It's working perfect now
  24. So replaced the cluster with a 90 xj, changed the temp sensor and oil sensor, well now I broke down from overheating because the electric fan won't kick on, the fan works but I was reading that the temp sensor may be at fault, anyone experience this issue? It was fine prior to sensor upgrade
