if you want a dana 44, there is a guy on ebay selling them for 600.00 + 200 shipping, he is in Pennsylvania. was going to buy2 of them, but he would not budge on the price. since the XJ will be a DD also and only sitting on 33, I will give it a try. once I start hitting the trails, I will keep you posted on how its doing mike

which one is better, mild wheeling with some mud only going to sit 33 probably no lockers. thanks for the input. mike

I am sure it can take it, but for what most of us want it for, I think its and over kill. It should be going to the paint shop in a week or two. My neighbor has dropped off a back end of a 1989 MJ. the bed is in mint condition. also left me some part, from his old MJ that he was going to restore. May end up doing the MJ trailer. Keep you eyes out for parts that I won't be needing. Mike

how many should it have, for it to be an HO. when we took the TB(throttle body) it had 3 torx bolts. Hope that helps mike

Well we have begun to strip out the MJ. took the tranny and put is where it belong....in the trash. Kept the 231. One thing we noticed when we took the engin out. it was stamped 94 on the block. don't know if prior persons ever did and engin swap, but how can I tell if I have the original and that 94 means something else. Either way, I think the 94 is HO, how much issue will it be, when we go to rebuild that block. I will post up picks of the tear down, once I get them loaded up. I saw they have the flux capacitor....I have been looking for one of those for years...the price is a little high, going to check on ebay...if not I can buy one, go back in time, buy another one at a cheap price and then return this one.... :brows:
