Hey Willy  Don't mind the dirty look :D Make a template of the headlight's side and set it so u can cut Your fender accordingly to ur needs. Note: I'm no Fab wiz  so excuse the cut and no lip bend for finish..this are temporary fenders...there will be a space missing at the bottom half you need to fill with a contoured piece of metal and allow some extra material to bend at 90 so that u can attach to that flat end u see on the fender.. By the way there's no bumper attached ... Someone might ask about that big gap there... :chillin: Regards. Image Not Found[/img]

;) I'll take some and post prob. by Sat/Sun.

By the way this is a working progress .. So everything is ruff at every corner . some stuff will be changed / or modified.. i.e. Current Bumper is there because it fits and It is a daily driver. But will be turned into a fabbed prerruner style w/ winch plate ( heavy) , Fenders ( can't afford to get a ticket driving w/o them) will possibly go to CUSTOM Fiberglass , Grill insert will be modified to include either couple of long range lights. Or replaced by a metal mesh etc. . ;) Any Ideas ? Post 'em up .!! Pretty sure some other treads about how to retro fit this front clip will follow as soon as the rest of the people that received them get started ..so there will be enough options for the build. Now I know some dudes around here have some photoshop experience. So maybe later can suggest a new color for the 'Manche.? :chillin:  Peace.

 I for One don't take this stuff personally  And I concurr with U; I'm saving my OEM frontclip and tail lights so when I get bored or bust this one I just replace back. Heck I still have the oem radio that my truck came with and the stock wheels !!! :D Can't say the same for the BA/10 though :D

Thanks Bud.. Steady as she goes.. But surely..

Call me crazy but I thought I read he bought the new fenders as well. I could of sworn I saw him post pics of them... :D Ur not crazy U probably are talking about the image I posted in the Feeler tread I started in the clasiffied section: Quote----- "-For those who are wondering if the fender will need to be replaced or not .. This is how it should look like. Either fabbing up a couple of stock fenders to that shape or getting them.. Guess it depends on each one's: Money, Skills, and time (patience). Where I posted an image of the fenders that one of my contacts has available over seas . JeepCo Is also correct. So far none of us have order such since, as far as I know .. ( and I know) :brows: The Min. Qty has not been met. And Yes indeed there is a gap right now. and am still custom fitting the stock ones. But It's a working progress thing .. I'll post up more images as progress evolves.. I'm actually trying to convince one of the 2 Providers of such fenders I'm talking to to bring down the min to 10 sets.. . Also there is a possibility they will be producing such in Fiberglass . Per small drafts it seems it might incorporate the flair . So we'll see. PS Should see the faces of the guys at a jeep dealership every time I drive by there...:chillin:

:D The uglier it gets ..the better it looks.. :D -
Image Not Found 8) note the bumper corner raises a bit. so on a original XJ u will have such gap. if left the stock bumper.

;) Yup that's what these lights are for : 1st gen xj's.. That's an interesting approach you mention ;) still u have to figure the extra width or you'll wind up with inch wider tailights than your bed side.. Now if You were to slap some fiberglass sides.. I bet that extra inch would feel right at home.. :brows:
-
I'll post how I'm gonna shoehorn these cuasi xj lights in the manche. Not a master at this ;So entertain ur self.watching and thinking 8) : " - I could have done it This way" So if u have suggestions . they are welcome. ..First of all the 2500 light is : 1/2" shorter , 1" wider , and 1" less deeper that the MJ's........ Now a tight fit or a factory look will be a bit hard but with imagination duable... First u need to shave any outer flaps or mounting points that are set for install in the xj . I'll post the pic later I forgot to take one before I diddiddit... :brows: Notching the side that goes against the bed and sliding such on the inner side of the truck bed.. will resolve most of the extra width ( 1") that the light has. The light actually covers pretty fair in height still there is a bit of a gap... Might ask if one slides that extra plastic in .. will the tailgate close properly? Yes I has enough space so You can slide that and take that space on both sides. Now the light is 'bout an inch to 1 and 1/16th- less deep . so on the side view u see this gap... There are a few ways to fill it . Rubber, Metal, Fiberglass. Duct tape... no quite sure still what to use .But I am taking advantage of that folded metal end where the two outer screws for the mj light get set. So i'll be folding that back , and maybe I can reuse those two holes to set the "filler" piece for such gap.. carefully , take note that it is double wall at that final point.. I'll post more as soon as I have progress. :chillin: peace.

Yelp sure am.... Only thing is I don't want to buy something and have it sit on a shelf for the rest of its life.... On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being impossible, how hard is the retro fit?? I'd say with some hacking skills a 4-5 . when I'm done custom fitting them in my MJ I'll post some ...pics. -

Hey now those would fit on my XJ.......... :brows: knee deep you say?Image Not Found I asked for ..... :D They're bolt in for 1st gen xj's .. might have a small gap at the bottom cause of the rear bumper config for such models overseas. nothing major... -

So I received header panel + grill ... Will start install probably by the wk end... :D right now i'm trying to finish the custom install of tailights.. SirSam has started a great project tread that includes Tons of pics showing the parts received from overseas . If u like to follow the build I suggest scrolling thru such . No reason to post two builds of the same, Besides Sir Sam's got a bigger camera than mine :D . I'll be pocking my nose in and around such :brows:

 not that I know of but .... xj tail lights ( including the j2500) once shaved of the surrounding mounting frame; They are still 1 inch wider that MJ lights and about 5/8 shorter ( not that big of a deal ) Still U can do a custom job . ( In progress ) and make 'em fit. i.e that folder section where u set the "outside " screws for the mj tail light . can be straighten and make up for most of the inch gap... U can still use both 1157's and the reverse 1156 on such .. but need to splice and do some groun work for an extra 1156 to plug in the amber section. Also take note these light do not have side lighting.....anbother custom job. -
