  1. I'm sorry. I know a little about engines. Could you explain what that is and where please? Thanks, Chris
  2. Here's one i made just out of sheetmetal. Its nothing fancy, but I like it.
  3. I went out to start my truck today and it will start but then it immediately dies. It doesn't idle at all. I was sorta stuck half way in the road so I trie popping the clutch to get it to move and it stayed running for a few seconds but the idle was around 2K and it kept climbing so I shut it off. Any ideas what this could be?
  4. 100 grit sandpaper seems really rough. I'm surprised you could polish out the scratches by hand or at all for that matter. Not knocking your post. Those things looks awesome. I'm gonna do the same to mine. I'm just a little leary about the 100 grit part.
  5. Just found these on Ebay. I know alot of peoples floors are rotted out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Ac ... 240%3A1318
  6. Will do. I just got off the phone with the junkyard. They want $100 for one. That seems kinda steep to me. I may just fab up a roll pan.
  7. cool thanks
  8. Does anyone know if the rear bumper off a Cherokee fits on the Comanche? Chris
  9. Yeah i definitely don't want that. I want to improve the handling. I guess i'll hack a coil off and see what happens. I'm defenitely doing the swaybar swap too.
  10. Yeah from what i've read in other posts on here rear ZJ springs are supposed to drop the front 2 or 3 inches, but i haven't actually heard of anyone doing it. I wanna drop it for looks and handling and because i just like messing with stuff. And I don't have any plans of going 4WD at the moment. I think i'm gonna try removing a leaf first and see what that does. I'd still like to be able to haul stuff. I guess I could use air shocks for that if pulling a leaf makes it too soft.
  11. Sorry i meant ZJ springs up front.
  12. Well i'm gonna use XJ springs up front. So i'll have to see how much those drop it first, but i was thinking 3 inches or so. If i use blocks then the leafs will be closer to the ground right? Chris
  13. I was wondering what the best way would be to drop the rear of my truck without using blocks? I had planned on using them but i was looking and there's already not much clearance. I've heard people mention using cherokee leafs because they're flatter. Do those bolt right up? thanks, Chris
  14. That's what I did. I made one out of wood and then covered it in felt and vinyl. I put a change holder on the back and I'm still figuring out where to put a drink holder where it won't get in the way of the manual shifter. Any ideas? Chris
  15. Is it something I could get at AutoZone? Or just get wire and make my own?
  16. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what would cause my battery cables to corrode faster than normal. About every two weeks they get to the point where they stop making contact all together. For some reason the previous owner used a huge cable for the ground. It looks like 220 wire or something. Probably just what they had laying around. Could that cause it? Chris
  17. Could be a vaccum line or the switch. That'd be my guess. Mine doesn't have cruise or I'd go look. Chris
  18. I second that. Here's a link to the forum. http://autobodystore.com/forum/index.php?
  19. TJ spring? So the ZJ's would need cut? How much do TJ springs lower it, and do I need fronts or rears? Chris
  20. How much will ZJ springs lower it in the front and does it matter what year they're from? There's a few sets on Ebay that are dirt cheap. Chris
  21. The 4WD conversion may be in the future. I may be getting another MJ for free, but for now it's too pricey, and I like the look of lowered vehicles. Thanks for all the tips. Chris
  22. So I know alot of people are against this, but what is 2 wheel drive truck good for anyways? So I was wondering what's the best way to lower an MJ? I only want 2 to 3 inches. I don't want to lower it so much that I can't haul stuff in it anymore. Do they make lowering kit? Or maybe get lowering springs for an XJ and just use blocks in the rear? Chris
  23. Just go to wal-mart and get a amplifier installation kit. It comes with a power wire, ground wire, remote wire, and rca cables. The rca's and the remote wire go to your head unit, power goes straight to battery, and ground, well, it goes in the ground :) The remote wire on your head unit should be blue. Also you should run the power wire and the rca's down opposite sides of the truck. You don't want them right next to each other. Chris
  24. Hey what year did you get the steering wheel from, and did you have to modify anything to make it fit? Chris
  25. Probaby. The tires are 215/60 15.
