  1. I'm always a little apprehensive when pulling rear flares for the first time. These looked so good I almost hated to start cutting on them.
  2. Swapped my RCV slugs for a set of 30 spline Warn lock in lock outs. Saved me a little cash.
  3. Unpacked my Barnes DIY one ton steering kit last night, Beefy!
  4. Dragged the 8.8 back from Canton Ohio today, Acme 4x4 welded up the tubes and installed an ARB and a set of 4.88s. Couldn't be happier.
  5. Got an early start this morning and got the front 2 Notch Flares mounted and the fenders trimmed. I'm happy that the cut fenders I had on the truck still had enough "Meat" to allow me hang the flares. However I'm not impressed at all with the fit and finish of the flares themselves. I'd love to get started on the rear but I gotta take off and go pick up my rear axle
  6. It definitely turned out nice, a guy gave it to me because he couldn't get it to work. I just assumed it was full of water but was surprised to find it clean inside. Did a quick test and found that in and out both had bad solenoids. Bought some good paint and some line and it's as good as new.
  7. Finished reassembling, Optested Sat, Spooled and ready to go on the shelf until the MJ comes back from paint.
  8. Gears are back together, for anyone considering this go for it. There is tons of YouTube videos if anything gets out of order.
  9. Thanks brother, I have vacation scheduled in July so I gotta stay after it. My brother and I plan to drive from WV to Colorado then cross the state using as much dirt and mountain passes as possible. Eventually dropping into Moab.
  10. I sure hope I remember how this all goes back together.
  11. Glad to see the planetary gears with very little wear and no water intrusion.
  12. The.drum was a rusty dirty mess, but a little elbow grease and some rust conversation and it's ready for some etching primer.
  13. Gonna try and tear this thing apart today for some much needed maintenance, might even give it a fresh coat of paint.
  14. I chose them because when color matched they look as if they could have been offered from the factory .
  15. I gotta say I felt a lot like a kid on Christmas morning when I unwrapped these M-Max Notch Customs Flares this evening. These are gonna get mounted then color matched and should do a decent job of covering those 37 Rockers. Time to start cutting!
  16. I also finished cleaning up a set of old school Daylighters. These should look good on the Comanche.
  17. Today marks a big milestone on my Comanche build. After 4 months and countless hours in the garage the 97 conversation is finally complete. I finished up the door jambs, all the interior plastic, seats and even got all the Sport truck and Cherokee decals off it. Now for the fun stuff.
  18. Front bumper is also ready to hang.
  19. Finished the rear bumper up today.
  20. Finished up the door jambs, turned out pretty good.
  21. Spent the better part of the day finishing up the wiring on the MJ. I still needed to wire the 97 3 wire door jamb light switch to the MJ single wire setup. I was also able to get the floor board lights working. Wiring is complete!
  22. Had a crack on the door side lip of my B-Pillar plastic so I mixed up a little Resin.
  23. Today's goal is to finish up the interior. First thing that needs buttoned up is filling the holes for the MJ Strikers and permanent mount the strikers for the 97 doors
  24. Even though the Comanche floorpan is a little different than the XJ I took a chance on some WeatherTech floor mats. I'm happy to report that these fit nicely.
  25. Took advantage of the Pitbull Valentine's Day sale and scooped me up a set of 37 Rockers! I've always wanted a set of these tires.
