I finished up the front and rear LED lights as well as fixed the passenger front speaker. I also added a couple switches and replaced the cigarette lighter with a second 12 volt plug in the factory switch panel and added an external antenna to the VHF radio. I think that pretty much finished the truck completely..... Seems odd.

The XJ donor for The Eagle had factory fog lights so hooking up the front light bar took about 5 minutes, on to the rear bumper LEDs

Well the pre-trip maintenance phase is complete. The Eagle got a Transmission flush and filter, cooling system flush and radiator, new idler pulley, oil filter adapter o rings and Mobile 1 oil change, new valve cover gasket a complete nut and bolt as well as new foam gaskets on all the windows on the topper. It's been a busy couple of days but I'm officially mechanically ready for next months trip.

First thing I do when I look at an XJ is pull the cover and check the filter. I was happy to see mine clean and dry after 1500 miles.

6:47 am, time to get busy. First thing on today's agenda is to flush the cooling system and install a new radiator and cap.
-
The donor Jeep had well over 200k on the clock but it must have been replaced recently because there is absolutely no buildup in the valve cover and it carries 37 pounds of oil pressure at idle hot. Very cool!

Finished up the filter change on the AW4, now to tackle the oil filter adapter O-rings. This is gonna suck!
-
I really didn't want to do this but with a 4k plus mile trip next month I figured a filter and fluid change on the AW4 was warranted. As expected the dipstick tube refuses to separate.

Thanks brother :) ive got about 1500 miles on The Eagle and am digging how it drives. The front axle I built about 5 years ago for my first MJ so I've been running the RCVs for awhile and hands down the best money I've ever spent on OffRoad parts.

Finally got around to painting the Topper for The Eagle. Prep is the worse part of a job like this but I'm glad it's finished. Still need to install a couple windows and the rear hatch but I'm happy with how it turned out.
-
Thanks brother, I appreciate it.

I've put about 1200 highway miles on The Eagle as well as a couple real hard wheeling trips, time for a tire rotation and a nut and bolt.
-
Right on! Greatly appreciated. My plan was.to plan short days to allow for exploration. This will really help.

My brother and I will be crossing Colorado and dropping into Moab in July. Here is the schedule as it stands so if anyone is near and would like to ride let me know.
-
No, if I haven't uploaded them here than I've deleted them already. My Notch flares cover them now so no way to to take any now.
-
No sorry that's the only one I took.

Thanks brother and yeah the swaybar will definitely limit travel. The factory links will eventually be replaced by quick disconnects.
-
Finished up the swaybar and I can't believe how much better it handles at speed. Drives like a Cadillac!

Haha, gotta stay after it. Only 59 days till my Colorado trip.
