Finished up adding a passenger upper to the Clayton Crossmember. I was hoping for 5 inches of separation but was only able to get 4 and 3/4.

These flares have been a real pain to get to fit tight against the body but I do like how they cover the rear tires.

Got the rear axle.under the truck this afternoon. I was also able to set the spring perches and the pinion angle. Time to get busy on the front.

Scotch brighted these this evening and layed down 3 medium coats of clear, hopefully I can get them mated with the Pitbulls tomorrow.

Thanks, figured they had crushed it by now.

Today makes 4 months since I started tearing it down. My goal was 6 months so I need to stay busy. It's just amazing how much time projects actually take compared to what we estimate at the beginning.

Got lucky and found a set of 1978 Factory Golden Eagle wheels. Had the local Jobber mix me up some AMC 7M Golden Ginger. Its thin so it took 5 coats for good coverage but a big difference between new and 40 year old paint.

I'm looking for a MJ fiberglass topper for my short bed MJ near WV

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on my Golden Eagle decals. I chose the JK ones because they are smaller than the J10/CJ versions. I'll run the Golden Eagle lettering on the lower part of the doors similar to the White J10 in the picture.

Spent about 3 hours sanding on this flare, I'm no body man but I'm happy with the result. Wouldn't need any Bondo.

Working on flares this morning and it's amazing how much of this flare I'm going to have to remove to get it to lay flat against the fender.

Assembled the rear axle today and ran new brake lines. The 8.8 parking brake assembly proved to be a real pain, but it's ready to mock up.

Yeah, it's going to take a lot of time to get them to fit right. It's disappointing.

With the weatherman saying the sun may make an appearance today I've decided to do some painting. Unfortunately my budget requires me to reuse as many used parts as possible so I spent a couple hours this morning prepping the parts for the rear axle for resurfacing.

When you've made a lot of progress on your project so you decide to make a punch list, then you realize your not even close.

Now that I have all the Notch Customs flares mounted up I'd like to give everyone my opinion. If I could send them back I definitely would. Of all the aftermarket vehicle specific parts I've ever purchased these are the worse. The first pic is the driver's front, it doesn't have a upper notch at all. The second and third are the passenger front. The upper part has a notch but the bottom body line is all jacked up. Neither side has a notch in the front and I don't even want to talk about the rear.

Got the rear flares mounted up this evening. I was hoping not to have to cut the bedside loose from the inner fenders but no dice. So it seems I've got some welding to do.
