maddzz1 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 bushings for my D30. I am putting in some RE uppr control arms and want to replace the bushings on the axle. Rockauto has upper control arm bushings but i figure those are for the control arm itself and not the axle end.

JeepcoMJ Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 replace them WHILE the axle is OUT of the jeep. if you weren't taking it completely out...you may as well (if you're doing a complete lift right now) then you can use a large hammer to knock the old ones out and put the new ones in. in the vehicle, there's no swinging room and you will need something like a ball joint press to put them in the axle. also, pay attention to how the old ones were installed...it does matter.
maddzz1 Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 Jeepco, I was just going to swap in some uppers for now and do the full lift later on. Should I wait to do the bushings when I do the full lift? and just put the uppers in for now?
