2 weeks ago this happened to comanche87 too. It broke right at the bottom of the threaded part that goes into the bracket where it meets the end. It was stock. We had to get a new bracket because the piece that broke off had rust welded itself in place. We even beat it with a hammer for 2 hrs trying to get it out.

Its the BDS bar and it broke at the threds on the top side. The worst part is i did not have my sway bar hooked up. :eek:

 

I am not familar with their setup, but was the Jamb nut tight (if present)? I have a few stock Bars and brackets laying around if you need one to get by until you get a replacement.

Cool -- if you live to tell about it. If you haven't experienced it ... unlike the (anti)sway bar, there is nothing even remotely optional about the track bar. Without it, you have no steering.
