SuperWade2
Noob I am. I already broke one. :wall: How da ya take em off? Probably not the "best" way, but worked for me...Jammed this between the door panel and the crank and gave it a little twist and the crank came right off... jaekl
Just pull it, straight off.
SuperWade2
Just pull it, straight off. Which is how I broke my first one, these are 20 years old and the plastic (at least on mine) was pretty brittle.

MJ'87
this method has worked everytime: place the shaft between your middle finger and your ring finger, then firmly plant your foot on the door and pull really hard :D followed by a few of these
Jeepinmanch
I use vice grip pliers instead of my fingers and the crank just pulls off with some force.
brigarpeon
I just use 2 medium flatblade screwdrivers. Point the blades at each other from opposite sides, twist and lift the handle slightly then pull it off. If it wants to be tight all the way then spray w/ WD-40 and use the screwdrivers to form an X to wedge it off w/ little pressure. Tape the ends of the blades so not to tear up the door panel.
