LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW
Hope you have better luck with the FM u-joints than I have. I had to use one as a trail emergency to get me home and it didn't even last the day of wheeling... Good luck non-the-less!
jaekl
Yes, I believe that is the fitting I have on the axle joints that I just put in. You need the needle type grease gun like shown in this link. http://www.drivewerks.com/catalog/ShopC ... 54_pg5.htm So I either buy that or swap fittings. robfg67
I don't plan on bringing her off-road anytime soon, but that is not good news!
robfg67
AAAH, the sweet smell of SUCCESS!!! 2 hours to change both u-joints for a newbie ain’t bad. The banging noise from the back is gone. Thanks for all your help.
robfg67
Is there anything funky about removing the front drive shaft? Does the front DS side just slip out of the TC like the rear DS does?
CWLONGSHOT
No the front bolts in from both ends, but its not hard or difficult to understand. Slide under and you will see how she bolts together. Difference is the double cardan joint at the T case. If you bought the needle to grease the joint, there will likely be one in the double joint to grease the "ball" thats in the center of the two joints.
