richv Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Does anybody know the size(s) of the bolts that hold the power steering box to the frame on an MJ? This morning I learned that there was only one bolt in mine when it broke as I was pulling into the parking lot at work. I'd like to get it bolted back up so I can steer it into a better spot where I can check for damage. Thanks.

jeepthing07 Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 MJ's are a mix of SAE and metric. all saginaw boxes are SAE i hope you used grade 8 bolts atleast i think the factory are grade 10
richv Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 Yes, they are definitely 7/16-14 thread. I took this "opportunity" to upgrade to the Durango steering box. So far so good.
