james750 Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 so i just got my passenger side fender flare off with no problems using a 10 mm socket. however, now i am on the drivers side and every bolt is just spinning. :roll: now what do i do? I'm not sure if I'm putting them back on or not yet, but it sounds like thats one of the only options right now. Maby i can modify it to fit normal bolt and nut assemblies on? No modification necessary to mount with regular hardware... just use the existing holes in the fender and the flare... it mounts up just fine. I used nylon hardware (1/4"-20) to mount mine, just in case I need to take them off again, no rusty studs! :D I'm not sure what is spinning? :dunno: Unless the flare has been taken of before and regular nut and bolt are holding it on. From what I remember it should be a little stud tack welded to a thin piece of metal that attaches to the flare... Like mentioned, it should just break off. Are you working on the front or rear? Carl'sMJ Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 If it is what I'm thinking... then the tack on the stud has broke free and it is spinning on the metal plate it was tacked to.
