Twisty
I don't keep my tire under the bed, but my friend does. Neither of us has any idea which tool to use to un-wind the cable. Can anyone take a quick snap shot of what it looks like to see if we have it? Thanks.
Geonovast
Isn't it just held up by a ginormous wing nut?

summerinmaine
Isn't it just held up by a ginormous wing nut? Not originally. It's a cable lift that will wind down to lower the tire to the ground.
WahooSteeler
your jack assembly should be 3 pieces: the jack; a thick, folding lug nut wrench; and a long, skinny folding jack crank handle. the crank handle, as noted, is what you insert in to the tube to crank down the spare. Thats what I suspected. Thanks for the help guys!
HOrnbrod
Instead of digging out the jack handle every time I just ground down the socket end of an old rusty 3/8" drive speed handle I had laying around (not the one pictured :D ) to something approximating a blunt flat head screw driver and use it to lower and retract the spare. Works great. Image Not Found
WahooSteeler
I'm sure it's chrome like the one pictured! :laughin:
